If someone gets this could you see if it works without the listed figures? It says that it requires FIVE different base Genesis 3 characters. I'm really hoping that's not the case. Could someone test it and see if it actually requires them or does it just say that because it's compatible with them? Seams like having to own five different G3 base figures is a bit of a steep requirement for a product. I'm fairly new so I only have V7 - however I really like these body shapes - they are so cute!
If you plan on getting them, could you check to see if they actually require owning all those figures?
I REALLY hope not! These are adorable!

it says
I know what it says...
But I've noticed several times I've come across product that says WITH something else and it turns out they aren't REQUIRED to make it work - reguardless of listing a certain item or items as requirements. I was hoping this product might be one of them.
you don't need all of them at the same time AFAIK.
I don't know - it does not say "custom sculpted morphs" ... they may be dial spun bodies.
Ah ok. :) Thank you.
That's unfortunate. Kind of odd to make a product with that many expensive requirements. Oh well, no purchase for me.
I would think of that as an "and/or" situation so it will work for you, as you say you have V7.
That would be cool. :D It's been a while since I was so excited about a new product. It might be worth getting and checking it out for myself to see what the morphs look like without the listed figures. I've only returned one item before so I doubt they'd be TOO mad at me if I had to return it if it doesn't work for me.
Daz doesn't get mad about returned items (as long as you don't do that daily *grin*).
Could you post your findings?
I am watching this thread because I like those morphs too ...
I don't own the package, but I own most of the characters that it references, and my guess would be that some of the morphs use those character shapes. I recognize at least one seems to have the girl 7's face and at least one of them was pretty muscular. I don't own gia, but wasn't she kind of muscular? But, Kerya does have a good point. If you like the promos and want to try them, but don't care for the end results because you don't have the base characters it needs to look right, then I'd say that's a perfectly acceptible reason to request a refund. I agree. I like a few of the shapes too. But, I've got stonemason's new thing in my cart...trying to be good...
I thought I'd better not risk it. So, just in case, I decided to try and see if I could make the shapes (or close to them) myself.
I tried to do the first shape (the one on the far right):
I think I'm getting pretty close:
She's pretty close, I think! :) I'll probably try and see if I can make the other shapes as well.
divamapup, I suspect you are using the G3F body morphs to create the shape you have above, where as the product (assuming it is telling the truth) does not use those.
I am assuming this product is shape presets, rather than custom morphs, as the price is a little low if custom morphs are included. I do not own the product, but I am intrigued how to get the "fuller" shapes using just the base shapes listed, as they are bigger than any of the base shapes. It is either using the shapes at over 100%, or is compounding the shapes to get the effect (or it does include some custom morphs).
Yeah, I'm using the standard Daz body and face morphs. I'm mainly just using the Heavy, Height, Weight, Neck Length, Leg and Arm Lengths, Shoulder Scale (and a few others used in minor ways). As for how Sublime does it, I don't know - they might be custom morphs. :)
I think you did very well using the default morphs to come close to the other product, nice job!
All of the #DSublime packages are dial spun. States that clearly in the description.
It states it clearly in Sublime 1 & 2, hints at it in 3 but if you haven't been around Daz/DAZ Studio much then Sublime Fantasy gives no clues.
It's possible that each body morph uses maybe 1 of the characters - like, body 1 will use G3F and Girl 7 morphs, and body 2 will use V7 and Olympia 7. So the required products state ALL the iconics needed.
Thank you! :D It was fun to make her and try and get her to look a bit like the shape in the promo. It's still not quite "there" - I might end up breaking down and getting the pack and hope that it doesn't rely too heavily on having those other characters.
That's true. I'm not sure I want to risk it - as I might be able to recreate the shapes myself ...maybe. It's a tough choice - the shapes are adorable. heheh :D I'll have to think it over. I do want to support products and vendors that create characters/shapes with more diversity than just the normal Barbie-type figures, so I might end up getting it. I guess I'll have a few days to decide before it goes off the intro discount price.
Thanks for the reminder to look at 1 and 2 (because 4 clearly doesn't state it clearly in the description) - obviously you really need all those characters ...
Diva: nice dialing!
I was on the fence as well as the forms are gorgeous, but **if it's dial spun, then no...(As I also have Zbrush) You could try and spin the body shapes yourself, you've seemed to have done quite a fine job yourself!
EDIT: **Well, it might not be dial-spun after all as it doesn't require G3's body/face morphs.
The advantage of a package with dial spun presets is getting what you want without spending a lot of time to get there. So with a package like this, you are paying for the convenience, and you get the PAs vision, (which you clearly liked if you're considering this product,) and the PAs time tweaking all those dials until the shape matched the vision. Convenience is worth a lot to me...

I agree with that statement wholeheartedly. There's only so many hours available, so if a PA puts together some great presets, whether they are for characters, lights, shaders, poses, etc., I tend to lean in favor of supporting the PA unless it's something I *want* to spend time doing because it's either fun or a good learning experience (or both).
I bought this I love the fuller figured characters ,I don't have Gia ,or Olympia and they work fine
Much convenience as you get the target morph all on one dial. You can fine-tune from there, but you don't have to "hunt and peck" to get to the starting point.
We sent in an inquiry in and the figures listed are indeed required.
Thanks, Cris, I appreciate you taking the time to do that for us! That's very nice of you! :)
Thank you very much!
As I happen to have all "Body by Sublime"-Packages, some information on those. Only pack III comes with custom morphs, the other packs are only shapes, so from my understanding completely dialed.
Regarding Body by Sublime IV the following figures are dialed in as far as I can see:
01: Gia, Aiko
02: Gia, Aiko
03: Gia, Aiko
04: Aiko
05: Aiko
06: Aiko, Girl
07: Olympia, Victoria, Aiko, Girl
08: Olympia, Victoria, Aiko, Girl
Think you can use shapes 1-3 also without Gia and Aiko.
Thank you for taking the time to list these!
