Really depends on what type scenarios you prefer. Girl 7 is strictly in the Jessica Rabbit, Toon style renders as are the majority of the morphs based on her figure. The new Aiko 7 is very stylized in a CGI-anime way, but you can get a more realistic look from her if that's what you're after.
So it's really up to what you see yourself doing more of down the road.
see ive see such good renders for both thats why im so ugh i want both but only can buy one, any cons?
I don't like the anime look when it's 3D, whereas as 2D it looks fine. :)
I like the Aiko look stylised (except for the big eyes), and the skin is good either way.
I think Aiko is more versatile, but if you like the Girl 7 look, then there isn't really a substitue in the G3 line up.
Just ask yourself which you'll use more? Do you render realistic, or mostly stylised? And how much of each.
In such a situation, it is tough to advise.
I have Aiko 7, and consider there to be no cons with the character. I don't like Girl 7, so consider the shape and skin to both be a negative; so much so, I didn't even purchase.
That would be a tough decision, if I didn't already have them both ;-)
The only con I can come up with is that Girl 7 is very stylized, so it's difficult to match her with other characters. Even Guy 7 doesn't quite match up with Girl 7's style, despite being a toon male.
Get the one that will be part of a good sale first (as a PC+ member that would be 65% discount or more for DO items). That being said Aiko 7 still is in the 60 days intro period (labeled 'new' without the intro discount) when it will not be part of sale discounts for at least another 2 weeks.
Or if you collect enough 2 cents you might be able to get both in the end.. ;)
Aikomania!
I have both and Aiko 7 is much more versatile. On the other hand, The Girl 7 has been out long enough that she's regularly popping up in sales.
Another thing to consider is whether you will mix either with other characters. Small amounts of Girl 7 create some nice blended characters, IMO, as seen in 3DSublime's recent products:

http://www.daz3d.com/body-by-sublime-iii
I prefer the non-fantasy edition, but both give you an idea of how blending in either or even both characters with G3F base or V7 can generate some great looking final results.
I have both and I find Aiko's morphs to be a little less overwhelming when you use them alongide others, but, I do like using Girl's morphs...you just have to be careful of how much you dial in because it quickly starts looking just like the original because she's so characteristic. If it isn't clear, I'm trying to say that Aiko is a little more diverse in how you can use her. If you like them both, you will probably eventually get them both...
One thing that usually determines my purchase of these characters isn't the character itself (with a few exceptions) but with the contents of the pro-packages. There were a few G2 characters that I waited a long time to get because the style of the pro-pack clothes or hair just didn't have much appeal...but, I hate to just buy the character because, on sale, those packs are such good deals. So, I waited and eventually got them really, really cheap. Probably cheaper than buying the character by itself :O Of course, I had to go for a very long time without to get them at that price:)
IMHO, it really depends on which style you prefer. I have every Aiko except Aiko 7, and every Girl starting with the original. Personally, I prefer The Girl, and use her a lot more than Aiko. While others see the Girl as a Jessica Rabbit type character, I see her more as 3D combination of a stylized classic pinup figure and Betty Boop. I use her in most of my characters/renders, but often only at about 10-25%.
They are both great characters, it just depends on which style you prefer.
For example, all of the images below use The Girl 7 in combination with other characters and/or morphs.
Wow, those are great ! In the first three renders she looks very much like a classic Frazetta girl. Never thought of using The Girl that way, but I'm going to have to try it now.
so beautiful when does the fall sells start jw?
PA sale starts at the begining of September, so next week, and lasts the whole month. And after that you have PC+ anniversary in October (once again it lasts the whole month).
Thanks!
I'm a big Frazetta fan, so many of my characters/renders kind of show it The Girl is an easy and quick way to add some of those slightly exagerated features. Of course the fitness, bodybuilder, and Musculature HD morphs (with flexing dialed in) add a lot too. In general though, I really like the little extra a bit the Gril can add to most characters. Of course, Aiko can work well too when looking for more svelt body proportions.
Thanks! With a bit of patience, you should be able to pick her up at a real good price. She was an instant buy for me, but I could only afford the base figure
I like Girl 7 & Guy 7 but it's want your artistic goals are that you should decide.
I don't use either, but I prefer the look of Aiko to Girl if I had to choose.
I'm an Aiko fan across all the generations. I have all the Girls too. You should realize from the comments so far Chris that you'll eventually have to get them both so you can mix them together. You had to ask the question... :)
It basically depends on which stylisation technique you're aiming for.
Girl: Disney/Pixar.
Aiko: Eastern.
So, you have to ask yourself which type of art direction you're going for.
And, yes, Girl is great for Jessica Rabbit. :) I used Girl 6 with some other morphs to create a vampire version of her in 3Delight, a little while back:

Personally, I favour the Girl series, because you can use just about any other character (or yourr own custom versions), simply begin to dial in a little Girl and she usually starts making them seem a little Disney/Pizar-ised at around 15-30% (depending on the facial shape). She's a perfect one-stop caricature solution! I'd imagine Guy 7 might have a similar effect with the G3M range, too, but have not tested that.
Remember, for any character, if you don't like the proportions of certain areas fo teh body or face, you always have the option of dialling those specific facets up or down.
+1 Having both will definitely expand your options!! The image below uses Ysabeau 6, Girl 6, Aiko 6, V6, and some of the G2F head and body morphs dialed in. (be sure to click to see the full resolution image)
With a little creativity, it's quite possible to build other characters to match her.
Nice mix DustRider. This is one of the things I love about Daz Studio.
you guys are amazing with the renders
