Are there *any* tutorials, free or paid, for Shader Mixer?

Please tell me there are. I'm about stupid when it comes to node based materials.

Yep - in the store. Totally free. http://www.daz3d.com/shader-mixer-tutorial-i This was done when the shader mixer first came out, so things might have changed. But at least it's a start.
Hi Laurie
Have you seen Carnite's channel on youtube?

They are old now but the biggest difference is Shader Mixer changing from right-to-left flow to a more conventional left-to-right connecting of the blocks.
Thanks very much! :D

It's actually always defaulted to the "conventional" left-to-right flow. Some of us (myself included), were primarily trained in on the P5+ Material Room and its right-to-left flow, so we've always (and still) checked that block in ShaderMixer's "Options" dialogue.
Look also at the code samples in the Shader Mixer thread: they're all 3DL (most are pre-Iray) but they should give you a good idea of how the various nodes work and work together.

I figured out how to make a cloud shader, but it only renders in 3Delight. How do you get it to show up in IRAY renderer?
