Jepe's WonderSheetZ

I guess i don't understand just what Jepe's WonderSheetZ provide. Do I get all the shapes premade as pictured in promotion? or are these just representative of what is posible with the right huffing and puffing. I see there is a  DSON Core Installer provided does that mean it can be used in Poser? I see no mention of that in the literature.

  • If it doesn't list poser DSON then it's not poser compatible simple as that. Not many people even read that, so you're all ready ahead of the game.

Okay now how about the rest of my query?

  • haven't got any of the wondersheetz but I have the eqiune dreams but the cloth thing is the same of sorts as what you see is what you get in other words the promos showing how the cloths are drapped over the figures that's how they are shaped like that and those poses the figures are in come in the sets so you can match them up you can still use different poses but the cloths are created to fit around those poses they're static props don't think any of them have any morphs you can use to alter the shapes/folds that is if they're anything like the equine dreams cloths which from what I've seen they are but with positioning and moving rotating the prop or camera angles or figure you may still come up with different looks still maybe even layering 2 or more over a character even with a static prop with no morphable movements if you think outside of the box with a little creativity imagination camera angles and even post work in photo/painting program you can come up with new twists on stuff

You load the sheet to match a pre created pose (you can fiddle with them some and still get good results) and then you select the morph of the drape you want to use with the sheet. Its really very cool and he does a brilliant job with them.

The sets contain figure poses and a sheet that goes with each pose.  Each sheet on it's parameters tab has multiple draping morphs.  You load the figure, apply the figure pose.  Load the matching sheet.  Only dial in ONE of the sheet's draping morphs at a time.   For the products I've purchased there have been from 3 to 5 draping poses for each sheet/pose combo.

Since the sheet's draping morphs are static, for best appearance, the sheets works best with the character they are designed for, which are clearly stated on the product pages.  If you use morphed characters, you may get poke-through depending how close the sheet drapes to the figure.

I purchased three sets that works with Genesis 2 figures.  A Poser Companion File installer is provided for each product.  I did check the product documentation online for the V4 and M4 Sheetz products and they come with Poser native files. You should confirm the file formats provided in the docs online yourself for the sheetz product(s) you're interested in buying.

The sheetz products are very well designed and very unique.

  • Although all is very well explained already - Shiny SheetZ, WonderSheetZ in general are static morphing 3D props matching to a pose of the figure they are made for. WonderSheetZ V7 don't have Poser files because V7 don't work in Poser, all other SheetZ should work fine in Poser when the main figure(s) are installed correctly with their DSON files.

You will get all the shapes that are pictured in the preview images, those are just morph dials you can choose to dial in when selecting the SheetZ prop, they are NOT dynamic like cloth in Poser's or DAZ Studio's dynamic cloth simulations.

Preview images of all the drapes of the various SheetZ you can also find in my Deviant Art Gallery:

Do the sheets ( http://www.daz3d.com/jepe-s-wondersheetz-for-victoria-7 , and actually the same question concerning Equine Dreams, http://www.daz3d.com/equine-dreams ) have to be fit to a character to use them, or can they be used as stand-alone items without any figure?

Is there a Genesis1 version of this product?

They are props, so they don't actually "fit to" anything - they load in a pre-defined location/shape to fit with the relevant figure when it is in one of the provided poses. They then have a series of morphs to adjust the shape. So you can use them on their own, yes. Below is one of the Equine Dreams set.

    I don't believe there is a Genesis (1) version.

ETA: The above is a very quick and basic 3Delight render - the sheetz look much better than this with decent lighting!

Ok, great, thanks!  Added to wishlist.
