Legacy UVs for Genesis 3: Separate Products

Is it possible to get just individual versions of the Legacy UVs for Genesis 3: Genesis Pack? I haven't bothered with any of the other characters so far and I'm not interested in buying an incomplete set where two of them are vendored on a different site and another two are completely excluded from production. I was planning on getting all the other ones (G2F, G2M, V4, M4, V5, M5, V6, M6, basically all the ones that we've seen/expect to see defaultly supported on the Genesis figures) in one swoop after they came-out. However, M5 is part of the pack and I'm not too keen of getting other G1 characters like S5, D5, and A5 if there's no H5 or F5.

It's the official product thread, and it also has an explanation as to why certain skins are in, and others not.
I want a "Wear Them All" for legacy UVs. lol I'm kind of waiting on that. :P
Agree same product line different places, has put me off; and the fact that there are a lot of G2F that are not default UVs
Looking at the price compared to the previous prices of the other UV prices, you're getting basically 4 for the price of one with the latest product. Also the V4 product on the different site is probably to keep his store open at rendo as a backup for products not accepted here. Nothing wrong with that. If you want it, I wouldn't ask him to close his store just so you can get items in one place.
Also with H5 and F5, I can understand that as well as both only had one texture with no gens and related products fell back on either M5 or M4. I would just map transfer tool those. D5 had at least 3 textures. A lot of textures for G2F and G2M ended up being M5 or V5 to leverage them to genesis 1 as well.

Yeah, by the time H5 and F5 came out, the PAs had all figured out that no one was buying buying the additional UV sets and given up on supporting them, and for Genesis 2 it was pretty much base G2F/G2M here at DAZ while the G2 product sold at Renderosity was all hybrid product that used the V4/M4 UVs. As far as I can recall, AIko 5 was the last UV to get ANY support beyond the one that came with the base figure, and it would be rather ridiculous, and hardly cost-effective, to make converters for one UV each. In any case, I basically look at this as "buy M5, get D5, A5 and S5 as a bonus".
No, H5 and F5 were just low sellers. UVs had nothing to do with it. But M5 had far more textures than the other ones to warrant separate products and were spread out between genesis 1 and 2 to transition between the generations.
Bleh. Rendo is always so much more expensive.
Is there anything for transfering skin textures from G3F to G3M?

Sigh. You can say this as much as you want, but the fact remains that there was almost no support for the UVs for any of the later Genesis characters. Why should there be when vendors had realized that they could use the V4/M4 UVs and then sell the character with a V4/M4 version included. I know you did one character for David so I'm guessing you used the D5UV, but beyond that, I think every other character that used the D5UV map was in the Pro bundle so that's what, six skins total that Cayman has done this to support? Given that there were even less for H5 and F5, I think that's a pretty reasonable cutt-off point.
Of course, I can't understand why people are grumbling about getting 4 legacy transfer sets for the same price that each of the previous ones cost by themselves.
The V4 and Gen 2 UVs are normally $16.95 each, currently on sale for $12.71.
Still hoping for a K4 version here. There was a respectable number of K4 skins, which Genesis 1 could use. They were scattered all over the place, but they were out there.
The support came from the lack of sales of the ones you mentioned. Also in Genesis 1, many of the characters released used M4 and V4 as the UVs so that vendors could release characters for both Gen4 and Genesis. So no it wasn't from too many UVs. At least with Genesis 3 vendors are making textures that are for the current generation, not using previous generations that had issues of stretching. But there were a lot more unique M5 textures to go with the male while a lot of the females were V4. But still H5 and F5 (as well as D5) were low sellers, thus you haven't seen them in later generations, with DAZ saying Hiro is basically dead.
Yes, but here is where I have my stacking discounts and store credit that let me wait a month or two then pick it up for a fraction of that.

That's not the same thing. Besides being for Genesis 2F instead of Genesis 3F, DraagonStorm's product is a bulk conversion utility that requires MallenLane's UV maps to work. Cayman's Products basically do what the MallenLane product does, but use custom made geografts to use earlier skins on the G3 figures.
I suppose it comes down to how much use you expect to get out of a product versus how long you're willing to wait to save just a few dollars. After all, if the V4 and G2F products were being sold here at DAZ, the regular price for those would probably be the same as the others, ie: $21.95, which means that at 50% off you'd be looking at a price of $10.97.

Yeah, I know why he didn't do H5 or F5. It was because me raising a stink about it there is how he found-out why. XD
Meh, I suppose. Still, its annoying as hell that not everything is in one place for purchase. I DO know you guys are able to market products on more than one site at a time! ;P
