Highly recommended products on flash sale

Mec4D has three shader packs for IRay currenlty on flash grab for 70% off.

These are some of the best shader packs I've ever seen.  Very superior products.  Suggest grabbing all three while you can!

Definitely outstanding shaders. I had the first one, and picked up the others two in this sale. The price was to good to pass up, but more than I really should have spent.

I have vol 1 but don't use it as often as I would like due to the confusing terminology and layout of the different options. I would rather have a one click option, than trial and error seeing what is what and what works and what doesn't. Still it's a great price for the other packages, hmmmmmm

Gawd, how many times have I said that since I downloaded and install Daz Studio, (4.7)? lol

I'm happy to say, I already have all three. If I didn't, I'd have bought the ones I didn't have. Cath/Mec4d's shaders are the best! I can hardly wait for Vol 4!

FSMC: Set 3 is more one-click than Set 1. You choose a metal and then there's like 6 or 7 options for each one (dirty, scratched, etc). It doesn't give you as many individual options as 1, but for quick metals, it's certainly worth that price at the moment.

Vol 2 and Vol 3 are not so complicated. Vol 3 has numerous styles of each metal: polished, used, dusty, etc. And there are a lot of microsurfaces you can apply as well, but you don't need the microsurfaces to get a good metal surface. Vol 2 has a lot of one click shaders for a wide variety of surfaces: leather, fabric, volumetric liquids, painted walls, latex, polyproplene, glass, gemstones, old wood, bricks, even one for asphalt!

If anyone is trying to decide which one to get, I highly recommend Vol 2.

Here's an image I did some time ago, using Vol 2 shaders:

    Chocolate and Strawberries

Things using Vol 2 shaders: The glass plate, both the light and dark wood of the table, the fork, the whipped cream, the chocolate sauce, the chocolate shavings, and the chocolate wedges behind the whipped cream. (There are three different shaders used on the four chocolate items!)

Thanks for the recommendations, folks. Bought set 2. Over budget, but since I've started using Iray on my obsolete computer, these are definitely going to be appreciated.

    Hmm, hope set 3 wasn't a waste of money as I have sets 1 & 2 already.

I don't think they have the AO for the dirty or painted metals look which is why I decided to pull the trigger.

I bought set two a while back and highly recommend it.  I have used it a lot.
