I see this Star figure in the 48 hr toon sale. I don't remember ever seeing it in the shopping area before.
Is this a new figure? Is it compatible with Genesis, G2 or G3 with regards to skins, hair, clothing?

It's a port from the RDNA buyout. She is not currently compatible, but it looks like there will be a Genesis 3 version of her coming soon.
Star is a stand alone figure from RDNA. Think of Star as similar to Victoria 4, but for people who like toon renders - such as me.
Thus the clothes for Star are just for Star, not for a line of Genesis 1,2,3 morphs. Someone could make a morph for the genesis figures to mimic the Star model mesh shape. The toon flash sale includes quite a few stand alone toon figures, including Chip, Cookie, Sadie, the wolf, turtle, and other animal toons, more figure from 3DUniverse, and much more. There may be utilities to convert star clothing for other figures, or vice versa, such as Phil Cooke's Wadrobe Wizard, which is included in many versions of Poser. (EDIT: note that PhilC's wardrobe wizard would require purchasing the add-on pack for igures that you want to convert clothing between).
ShareCG has Star to Genesis 2 auto fit file.
And it works pretty well.
Where is it? I can only find the morph for Gen2 to Star!

Make sure you grab Comet (DS version), the male morph for Star too. The download contains autofit clones for male clothes, H3, M4 and G2M.
But those are clones FOR Star!, not clones OF Star!, so one would have to already have Star! to use them.
Star! for G3F should be out soon according to Lady Littlefox.
I bought Star! when she first got moved here to Daz. It was my first 3D purchase and I highly recommend her. However if she's coming to G3F I recommend waiting for that. I have accumulated quite a few items and morphs for Star and I'm a little scared that none of the items will be compatable with the G3F figure. I do hope that they give a discount to those who already own Star if they want to also get the G3 version of her.
Even when Star for G3F comes out, you can still use the standalone Star and her stuff, but I really doubt standalone stuff will work on the G3F one. Standalone Star won't be obselete :D She's still a pretty cool figure.
Oh. I don't have Star, was looking for a script to fit Star clothing on regular G1 or G2 figures.
If I get G3F Star then stand alone Star would be obsolete to me (at least for me). As there is far more stuff for G3F as there will EVER be for stand alone Star. Plus you could (hopefully) use G3F Star to make some custom G3F toon figures - which sounds SO FUN! :D Again, that's just IMO. I'm not sure I'd ever use the stand alone Star if G3F Star came out -as, to me, that's just a straight up upgrade. hehe Having all of G3F (and via autofit maybe even G2F) products able to be used on G3F Star sounds awesome! But then again, maybe her shape is so extreme that that wouldn't work? Hmm food for thought. I guess we'll have to wait and see. :)
To tell the truth, once I get G3F Star, I probably won't use standalone Star :D :D In theory, G3F clothing will work on G3F Star, but because of her extreme shape (legs), you may have to tweak/smooth SOME stuff. I don't know that for sure, I'm just saying it cos her legs go on forever LOL. But I do suspect that when she is released, there will be a poop-ton of stuff made for her on release day :D :D
Yeah, I think you're right. And I'm SO looking forward to it. :D I really love Star and having her for G3F would be amazing! I've not been so excited for a figure to be released before. I've seen other people get excited over different figures being released and I'm like "Meh", but now I know how they feel. Because I'm extremely excited to see Star come to G3F - I really hope it happens soon! :D
I'm not really a Toon person. I LIKE looking at other artists toon pics, and I always think they are totally cute and like the look of them...but toon art is not my 'style' and I find it VERY difficult to use toons in my art at all. But I fell madly and crazily in love with standalone Star! when she was released and adored her. I still can't work out WHY I love her and love using her, but not other toons. My husband hates her LOL Every time he walks past and I have Star! on my screen, he begs me to go back to my "warrior women with the big boobiez and muscle thighs" LOL!!! I really hope when G3F Star is released it's one of those BIG release days, like DAZ does for the iconic figure releases. I'm already salting away bits'n'bobs of change so I can go nuts with the buying :D
Yep - I felt the same when when I found her. I think I figured out why, for me at least, I liked her on first sight - she reminded me a lot of some of the cartoons I used to love watching like Winx Club and Monster High and what not.
I think it will be a lot of fun to see if I can get Star to look like them for fan art. :D Monster High in particular would be crazy fun to do some fan art of.
I've used her to get a good impression of Miraculous Ladybug.
If you plan to use Star much, I very much recomend getting Ilmare for her as well. Selecting the base skin from that will give you a more realistic looking skin than the default toon skin.
You may want to check out 3D Sublime's Dollz line at the other site. It's "Bratz-like" and Monster High is Bratz as monster girls.
Ahhhh HOW ADORABLE!! Thank you for telling me about them! Sassy Sabine is too cute - Olivia is sweet too!
I've never bought anything from that store, but those are adorable and make it tempting. heheh :) It's too bad they are V4 and not G3.
That's why I'm looking forward to her coming to G3 - I'd be able to use any G3F skin on her. That sounds awesome! :)
I've seen one or two Dollz for G3, though they don't have same bratz look as the v4 ones..i keep meaning to try to GenX them over to g2f
