Yeah, I had to buy

I saw those. Very very cool!
Yeah, me too. Have to admit, I'm shocked -- pleasantly so -- by the return of that particular vendor to Daz. She had a storefront here that she closed and moved to RDNA, and then when RDNA got bought out, she moved her stuff to Renderosity.
I wonder if maybe that means that she'll update her Toolboi set for Genesis 3. She'd originally planned to do a re-rig for original flavor Genesis, but then pulled her stuff from the market here and concentrated on Mil4 for a while. Her G3F stuff elsewhere is wonderful, though.
I am extremely glad to see her back again. (Cant think of any way I'd ever use those boots with those heels, though. Flat heels, or low heels like the Zetta Boots and I'd have grabbed them like a shot.)
I passed on the original bootleggers because of the low heel, but I am really liking these.........
I am also surprised to see this vendor back at DAZ, seemed like a less than amicable split
Yea I wish there was a way in our product library to search by vendor for what you own even if its not in the store anymore or vaulted. I have Toolgirt by her here at DAZ and toolboi complete from RDNA but neither is currently in the store. I have to be careful over at Rendo when those come on sale not to buy them again.
Yeah, if they were flat or low heels, I'd have bought them. I have no use or desire for obnoxiously killer high heels. They are well put together looking, though.
I just hope this means an update of Toolboi is in the works soon, ahahaha
Yep, I probably would have, too, then tried to put them on G3M. Those are some nice looking boots, but I would have preferred flat heels.
It seams like if vendors created an alternate heal version for many of their shoes they'd get a lot more sales. It can't be a whole lot of work to add a heal variant and I'm sure the increased sales would make it worth while.
Sometimes a lot depends on whether the soles and heel caps are separate matt zones. IF they can be turned off, and IF the boots still look good when the feet are posed n flat or lower-heeled angles a kitbash might be possible. But it would be a lot of work, and I'm not sure the feet of these boots wouldn't distort if the feet were posed flatter.
Sometimes the heels are a separate zone all by themselves, and its possible. But with these the sole is a bit of a platform, so just turning off the heel isn't mecessarily going to make the boot flatten out well.
Greetings,
I'm stoked to see Bad Kitteh back also; about the boots, however, I'm curious...I see promos of the 'underboot' by itself, but is it possible to just use (essentially) from the folded-down part down? In other words, can you turn off the inner part, or at least the inner part from the folded leather up?
Thanks muchly for any guidance on this!

The folded down part is actually a separate part callet the BootSpat. You can turn off the opacity of the main body of the Base Boot (the long one) with the Spat over it, and that sort of works. The only issues are that it's got an open laced front, so you'd see skin; you also see skin near the heel. If you wouldn't mind that, then it would work.
Fantastic gear, I just had to buy it. (Works in DS 4.8)
BTW: Anyone know what clothing is used in the Promo pic?
First thing: I'd love a low-heels version of that set (I can't see myself using the spike-heels one, but it looks awesome), a and I'd buy a new "Zetta-style" set in a heartbeat.
That said, morphing such a thin heel into a shorter or flat heel would probably not work without leading to a lot of texture distortion, so we're talking alternate mesh there. Which means redoing a good number of the morphs if nor all, and having different maps for the low heel part so alternate material presets for the low heels version too. As Connie tends to include a gazillion morphs and a good number of material options in her sets that would means a lot extra work, and I honestly doubt adding a low-heels option would generate that many extra sales (keep in mind that the Poser/DS content market is actually quite small). So unfortunately I don't think it would be cost-effective for the vendor.
