The only way to know is to look at each product side by side and compare them.  There are some great shader sets that come as parts of other products...the Genesis Supersuit bundle has an incredible selection of 3DL shaders, for example,...but you will tend to get more versatility and bang for your buck with a standalone package.

They are shader presets, as are those that come with the supersuit.

If you mean the sets in the PC club then most of them are worth it yes, shader presets are different to mat presets.

Mat presets will only work on the item they are created for it is these that usually come with an item, Shaders presets work on anything.

I would say the PC Club shaders are really worth it - Textures that come with products are great but often there are only 2 or 3 different colour options so having shaders makes it super easy to change things & kit bash so you can create exactly what you want at that moment.

Iray shaders are also good for using on older 3DL products to improve results with Iray - No doubt it works the other way around to.

There are a few free shader sets over on sharecg so you can always download some of those & play around to see how you get on before spending any cash

I've really enjoyed the free Allen Art shaders for Iray at ShareCG.

Me too! Those are amazing! I really love the jewelery shaders - I use the metal shaders that come with it every day. Her fabric shaders are awesome too! :)

I totally agree! I own these four and I HIGHLY recommend them:

    http://www.daz3d.com/homestyle-iray-shaders

    http://www.daz3d.com/nature-shaders

    http://www.daz3d.com/bone-and-fantasy-scale-iray-shaders

They are so good for kit bashing! And the Nature Shaders are wonderful for reskinning old trees and such to make them look like new and Iray ready. A good Iray shader can make some of the older stuff look like brand new. And as someone who loves using old freebies, it's awesome! ;)

Can I ask if the fabric shaders use weightmap, roughness/metal or gloss/spec shading?

It uses Metallicity/Roughness for the Denims and it uses Specular/Glossiness for the knits and the plaids.  I don't see any that uses Weighted.
