Victorian Innocence: Bundle Complete Question

Anyone who has purchased this, can you tell me if you had any problems installing the Neo-VITextureExp-Bundle that came in it?  Everything else installed fine, but that one had a problem.

I got the following error:

  • The "IM00029976-01_NeoVITextureExpBundle.zip" file is invalid. It does not contain a manifest, or is corrupt. The product cannot be installed.

Just thought I'd ask before filing a help ticket to see if anyone actually managed to get that installed.  I tried deleting and downloading again, but that didn't work. Thanks.

Edit:  I forgot to add that I did double check and there is a Manifest file inside the zipfile.

Yes. It was in my product updates today and still gave that error message.

Well, I sent in a Help Request.  Now, I just wait.

Yep.  Bought it for the hat and googles,  haven't been able to use it.  Pretty much just wrote it off as a loss for the moment.

Well, I got a reply to my ticket.  Says they are looking into it.

    I got the same result.

  • The tip is much appreciated, everyone. I bought it, but will delay installing it until they get it fixed.

Would you guys please post a note here when that happens?  Thanks!

I'll post with updates if they get back to me about my ticket.  I really like that texture set and really wanted to use it soon.

I just tried to install it.

    It is not fixed.

The problem is that the DIM/zip file is misformed. The Content folder and the Manifest and supplement are supposed to be on the top level of the zip, but they're within another folder. fig 1

You can manually fix it by unzipping the DIM and rezipping it corretly. fig 2

I've sent in the info with a bug report to get added to the other.

I got an email the other day that they have verified a problem and it was being reported to the proper person to be fixed.  Said I would get an update when it was fixed.  I'll update the thread as soon as I hear about an update ready for download in DIM.

Thanks for the info.  I might give that a try if I don't hear soon because I'd really like to use the textures in a render!

I tried to fix it manually by removing the top folder (several tries), didn't work for some reason (Install Failed each time).

Correction - it does appear to install (no "Install Failed" message), but if you look at the file on the "Installed" tab in DIM it's 0 bytes.

Well, maybe I'll wait for a proper update then.  I'm hopeful I'll hear back soon that the problem has been fixed.

    Just a quick Heads Up.

I haven't heard anything back from Customer Services but I tried again to download and install it. And it installed with DIM.

So, anybody still waiting on this may want to try downloading and installing it again.

I'll give that a try here in a bit.  I haven't heard anything from CS either yet.

It was listed as an update in my DIM today, and installed fine, so I guess it's been fixed now.
