Both the newsletter and the banner ad today states "Up to 90% off featured Genesis 3 Females". As there actually are some of the official DAZ G3F I don't have I happily jumped to the promo page hoping I could get a nice deal, only to see the "G3F" offered being Aiko 6, Mei Lin 6 and Monique 6, who of course all are Genesis 2 Females.
It seems someone over at DAZ has made en oops here.

I noticed this as well...exceptionally disappointing.
We have sent in a query about this
Yep........very disappointing indeed......lets hope it is a mistake otherwise it is a big put off
She who can't read... is me. Missed Aiko 6 at 90% discount. But still, the advertisement is no matching the sale.
Same here. Jumped into the page, and saw Genesis 2.
I had them in my cart and almost went through the checkout, but before that I decided to check this board to see, if there are some nice stacking discounts and luckily saw this thread before completing the checkout.
Same here. Got all excited and then a big let down. I have all of the G2 base figures that I want. It's the G3 ones that are missing my from library.
It's the same text on both the promo page, the splashbar on the front pageand in the e-mail ads. That's a few steps beyond just a mistake.
Someone has already "looked" into this, the person(s) who approves these ad's in the first place. thats why the promo image is still up.
please send them back to "Truth In Advertising" school.
The banner is still up. I looked on the promo page but I couldn't find any Genesis 3 Females for 90% off as advertised. Just some Genesis 2 ones that I already have.
The Promo page has changed, but the banner is still as Charlie shows (as of Aug 7, 1215 CDT US.
I have to wonder if whoever is supposed to approve these promos is on vacation or something, between this and the Shadowrun thing stuff is being posted that never should have slipped through an approval process.
There was something wrong with the Shadowrun sale?
The Shadowrun page looks OK to me. I don't need any of it, so I won't be buying, but there are no obvious mistooks.
...speaking of the Shadowrun promotion. As I actually am involved with the tabletop RPG of the same name, I was first excited then disappointed. I was expecting more content that fit the theme besides the factory and street sets. Would have been nice to see cyber implants, firearms and vehicles from the game itself, as well as more appropriate clothing for sneaking around back alleyways and infiltrating facilities. Even spellcasters know to "armour up" for a run (and that doesn't mean leaving the belly exposed).
Nothing wrong with the sale itself but it's be like them running a sci-fi sale saying the items are Star Trek or Star Wars. Shadowrun isn't a generic term, it's a specific trademarked game setting.
...yeah made me wonder if they set up some kind of agreement with Topps (the owner of the trademark) at first. Bugger, and here I had my hopes up we'd see some good gritty cyberpunk typw stuff that actually related to the game. (still would like to see items like an Ares Preadtor V heavy pistol, GMC Bulldog van, Vashon Sleeping Tiger armoured suit and Farilight Excalibur Cyberdeck).
I caved in and got them as I didn't have them before, but I'm going to be majorly ticked off, if they go and suddenly change the promotion and put those Genesis 3 versions up.
Well, the banner still hasn't changed; but then again I don't see any Genesis 3 females being put in the sale either.
Looks like the banner finally changed.
