re-learning omnifreaker uberLights in DS4.8?

omnifreaker uber lights not working way they did in 4.6.

was rendering Leo7 with his 3de shaders in 3de render mode

but render kept coming out with him inked out like a black silhouette.

anyone knows hows to get these lights working on Leo7 in 4.8?  or, is it the lights or Leo's 3de skin shaders?
was up to 2am fighting with it.

haven't tried the uberhair shader yet in 4.8

    I believe these lights got "broken" after 4.7 or so. To my knowledge they have not been fixed.

    you can reproduct the problem?  inkyblack silhouette?

    looked in the DS folders, just to confirm i see the .sdl files,

    is there a special brick in the shademixer for uber lights?

  • The Age of Armor Advanced lights have issues, related to surface flagging, in 4.8 and 4.9 - I'm not aware of issues with the uber lights.

    ds4.6 had issues with sometimes rendering pure white. 
    got the opposite problem in 4.8

    leo7 renders with the camera headlamp, came out a bit darker than i'm used to.
    tried with his normals maps on and off. tried the different levels of sss presets.

    was the slider for light intensity scaling always there?  
    i never noticed it before.

    does anyone else use the uberlights?  have you had the inky blacked out problem?

    Ah, they don't seem to like the AoA SSS shader - please bug report that.

    Ah, they don't seem to like the AoA SSS shader - please bug report that.

    .....same for the AoA lights when flagging SSS surfacees.  Been broken since the 4.7.update.  Wouid be nice to get this fixed as well.

    did DS remove property fields that those utilities rely on?

    request the fixes for DS 4.8.

    just thinking how long it took me to buy those aoa advanced lights and omnifreaker uber lights and shaders.  

    every sale would grab one or two.
