Daz Studio gets stuck trying to login

I have had Daz for a bit now and have never really had an issue with it.

I just recently updated to a new computer and cannot get it to work correctly. I open the program and attempt to login. It then just infinitely spins and never logs in.

If I reset the program a few times, it may have a successful login and then even work perfectly for about 2 mins before then starting to act up again. The menues then wont work.

If i click on content, it will show the main category headings with the little arrow in the content manager but if i highlight a catagory nothing happens and just acts like its empty.

Sometimes smart content will work perfectly for about 2 mins and then not show anything. When i change catagories in the smart content such as from figures to props, it just remains stuck on figures even though the menu may highlight props.

I am lost and frusterated. Any advice will be great.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the sql connect pack as well. It is the 64 bit version and i am installing the right packs.

i have done all the basics (checking firewall and spyware and such) ADVICE PLEASE

Please check Help>About Daz Studio... and tell us exactly what version you are running. It will be in the upper left corner of the splash screen that will be displayed.

I have tried the newest pro build and am now trying the latest beta version 4.9.3.37

It takes about a minute when i click a menu for it to realize that it has been asked to do something and bring up the next menu level in content manager also.

Also it is not giving me a sql error or anything on startup. just when i try and log in an infinite spinning wheel.

    this is very strange.

    This is a new pc

    5900k intel processor

    1080gtx graphics card X2

    open GL 4.5

everything is state of the art and no other program i have is suffering.

what is even more interesting is ,,,,,,

If i go to the content manager and click on "My Library" it will take about a minute for it to show the next menu tree. If however i click on it and then change from the loading/creating page to the render page and then back to the loading/creating page.. it will be there instantly. It is a very strange program lag. My older generation I7 intel runs this same program fine. This computer is 50 times the machine and I cannot get the program to quit lagging and it also will not sign in or display content right.

So you have two issues - logging in to work online (which is optional) and using the CMS-based views (Categories, Products, Smart Content)? On the CMS, did you copy across from your old PC or did you install afresh (exporting the user data on the old system and importing metadata on the new woukld count as starting afresh, I am asking about copying the actual database across)?

  • I did a completely fresh installation from scratch.

  • That deals with most of the known potential issues, I'm not sure what else to suggest.

  • Any help or advice please??

  • I'm having the same problem.

  • It's unlikely to be the same problem, given the thread's age, but yes there do seem to be issues and we have flagged them up for Daz.

  • try again, probably server issue is fixed now because I can login already 26/09/2020@9:56AM

  • Yes, should be fixed.
