Totally baffling descriptions on Runtime DNA products

Gah.  I love the RDNA products and that we're getting them at great prices, but the descriptions of the products are often so bad that it feels like I'm buying bootleg products in a flea market from Jon Lovitz old Lying Guy SNL character.  And since the products disappear from RDNA as soon as they move here, it's a royal PITA trying to find out what's really going on.  Good example is the OMG! The Bettys pack that's in today's sale.  Completely missing from the DAZ description is this huge block of text that was in the RDNA version:

OMG it's the Bettys  is a set of custom sculpted whole body morphs  for V4 specifically for creating female Clowns. The set consists of head/Neck and  body morphs that enable you to create  a virtually infinite variety of Cheery, Sad  or Creepy Maids of Mayhem to inhabit your renders ...or your nightmares. The morphs have been created to compliment Mortem Vetus's Betty character and her associated free skins and addons.

So Come join the "Carnival of Coulophobia" and create Maids on Maniacal Mayhem, See the wonders of Betty and all her alter Ego's !

This product is a set of Morphs ONLY! there are no Skins etc included in the pack!

Requires No additional morph packs!

OMG it's the Bettys comprises of

1. 11 custom head and neck morphs

2. 4 custom whole body morphs

these morphs should all be applied at the "Body" level and NOT at the individual body part level using the grouped dials provided!

There are NO skins or textures included in this morph pack, all the textures used in the promos are from Mortem Vetus's Betty pack and associated freebies and skins! Due to the number of morph combinations and dial variations it has not been possible to account for eye/teeth movement in all cases therefore it may become necessary to repose the eyes or teeth to get optimal renders. the eyes can be repositioned etc by unhiding their hidden dials. A pose file has been included to enable you to do this!

PLEASE NOTE THIS PRODUCT IS NOT DAZ STUDIO COMPATIBLE

So, not only does the DAZ cat page not even mention, let alone link to, the required products, but the DAZ description says this is now a DS compatible product, so has someone done a conversion from whatever non-DAZ compatible format it was originally in?

That's not the only problem.  On many product pages the conversion has left out most of the promo images so you can't even get an image of most of what you're buying.  I knew in all cases where I've bought the products because they were on my RDNA wishlist, so I have already seen the product images.  A good example is Precious Romance; you're getting a number of different coloured textures yet the product page shows only the white one.  That's just neglect.  If you're going to move the products over please do it properly!

I don't know the specific example you gave, but lets not forget that some images used on the RDNA site may not be suitable for DAZ's store site, though I have been surprized by them at times.

It is also sometimes difficult to tell which products are included in other products A good example would be EF-Leaping bear. This item http://www.daz3d.com/efja-leaping-bear-bundle-for-m4 seems to include these two items http://www.daz3d.com/ef-leaping-bear-for-m4 and http://www.daz3d.com/efja-lbearoutfits-for-m4 but they are not shown as specifically included and still show up as not purchased even though I own the bundle.

Stuff purchased in any bundle from Daz does not show as purchased on the individual product list.  This isn't just for the RDNA products its all of Daz's bundles.  At least for me they never have

I just bought an item today. It is a poser item which I intend to use in Studio, but the installer was done wrong and the pa's name was mispelled. So now I have two directories for this pa. One spelled wrong. That really is a quality control thing. Someone should've caught that if they checked it.

Please put in a ticket on the problems you are encountering so that Daz can look into addressing them.

No, No. The sub-items of other bundles from DAZ DO show as purchased. It is only the sub bundles (such as a starter bundle in a pro bundle) that don't show as purchased. And even then they show as part of the bundle on the product page. With some the RDNA bundles the only way I can tell if an item is included is to go through the "what's Included" lists of both items the bundle and the sub-item and compare them to see if everything is included in the bundle.

That used to be how it worked but Daz changed that a while ago. Now individual items from bundles that you have bought do show up as purchased. What doesn't work is if you buy a Pro bundle the Starter bundle which only contains things you have bought doesn't show as purchased, but the seperate items do.

Pro Bundles do not "actually" include the starter bundles... they just include all the items from the starter bundles. If you buy the Pro Bundle, the starter bundle will not and should not show up in your account as purchased... it has a different SKU # than the Pro Bundle.

I've come across a few of them.  Normally as smaller pieces to the side of a bigger picture.

Ideally it should as you own all the items in the Starter Bundle. And the developers themselves actually consider it a bug, but it's pretty complex to fix, so it's been "sidelined" (that was in 2013, don't know what their plans are now).
