Fitting clothes with Transfer Utility

Hello,
I've been wondering if it was possible to fit clothes to another model using Transfer Utility (e.g. G3F Clothing to Star).
I can't find a Crossdresser licence for G3, and everytime I use Transfer Utility, Daz3D keeps crashing at 11%.
There's probably something that I'm not doing right, but without something to work to (like a tutorial), I don't know what.
Thanks for any help :)

Crossdresser has a licence for Star. Wouldn't that work if you auto fitted to genesis first and then used Crossdresser?
I haven't got the Genesis 3 Clones for Genesis or Star's Crossdresser Licence, so I can't really try it out. So, Transfer Utility is the only thing that I can use.
I know it's possible, I just can't grasp what I have to do to achieve it.
You can always export/re-import as OBJ, then manually re-rig... but that's pretty time consuming.
I'm personally looking for a way to convert stuff from Cookie/Star over to V4/Genesis/G2F. Crossdresser may be my only option unless someone comes out with an autofit product ;)
I'd love to do that too :D
I just get a little mad with myself when I can't do something, when I know that "it" (the thing) can be done ... :(
I suppose I could post a guide or something that details my process...?
edit: I should clarify that my workflow is usually from V3/A3 clothes to G2F. Not sure how applicable it will be to your situation...
Couldn't you export/import the clothing as obj
load genesis/gensesis2
scale/morph/dform genesis/genesis2 so they fit in the clothes as they should
run transfer utility selecting genesis/genesis2 as the source with current as it's option
select the clothing obj as the target with default as it's option
open the advanced options and select the reverse morph option
Let run
You should now have the Star outfit fitting to genesis/genesis2
*edit*
you may need to convert the clothing obj to figure (edit -> object -> rigging -> convert prop to figure) before selecting it in the transfer utility
That's exactly my workflow :) :D Except I typically use the item's built in morphs before I reimport from obj.
I also don't use transfer utility and just auto-fit it as an unsupported item so it doesn't reverse shape and distort the mesh.
edit: Sometimes I have to re-rig certain areas, as the weightmaps can be weird with older items...
I haven't used d-formers before. So, that'll be something else for me to learn about.
I've been messing around with the clothing, and trying to fit some clothes to Star! But, I think I'm finding the waists and chests of the clothing the hardest thing to adjust.
I've also tried to import obj clothing to Daz3D so I can turn it into something useable for G2F. But after the transfer utility, the clothing returns to a small size, and is at the feet of the model that I'm trying to import it to.
Thank you for the replies ^^
I do not really understand the transfer utility but I have successfully managed to transfer a V4 outfit(Kali) to G2 and retain the posing bones by following a sickleyield tutorial, the last step of which warns that the object being fitted might end up at the figures feet, which requires one more step to fix: Select the figure and then the item with ctrl+click in Scene Tab (in this order). Click on the tiny icon that looks like three lines and a triangle to the upper right of the scene tab. Activate Edit—Rigging—Transfer Rigging (Figure Space).
Again, no idea if this will apply but the result you are having issues with reminded me of that. Worth a try?
I bought a couple of transfer uitilities & tried to use to to transfer M4 carnival clothing to G3M but it failed. Maybe it only transfers from M4, V4 to G, G2M, G2F. And then something else has to be done to get them to G3M & G3F...
Valzheimer's Wear Them All products can transfer V4, M4, Gen1, G2F, G2M clothes from their sources to G3F or G3M in one go. http://www.daz3d.com/valzheimer
Furthermore, G3F and G3M have G2F and G2M clones included, so you can always transfer up to G2F/G2M, then up to G3F/G3M.

one thing to absolutely remember, the object you are trying to transfer the rigging to cannot be altered or moved in any way inside Daz.
For example, you want to trnsfer rigging to a hat, but the hat loads on the floor, then you need to move the character down until it's head is under the hat where it should be.
or if a glove is the size of a finger, tehn you need to scale the hand down to fit inside the glove rather than scale the glove up to fit the hand.
Then, using currect on the source and the reverse morph option checked, it will automagically resize and reposition the object where it should be when the character is returned to normal size and position.
Thanks, I will try those next. Maybe they are easier than the ones I already bought.
That sounds so easy.
I never thought of moving the model to the object...
Are there any recommended import settings/options for OBJ's that are going to be fitted to models (Poser1 unit = 8ft, Hexagon 1 unit = 1 cm)?
It really depends on the obj. Sometimes they are huge and sometimes itty bitty. I just use the custom import and adjust the scale/reimport until I get the obj as close to the size as I can before I start moving and scaling the figure.
If you're worried about where the centre of an object is and want to match it to, for example, a head or the centre of the world (via a null), MCasual has a script for that.
