shopping cart needs oiled

Hi, I put some items into my shopping cart without realising that I'd been logged out overnight.  I then logged in while in the shopping cart area.  Now my cart icon shows 8 items in it but when I click on the icon it says my cart is empty.  Problem is that when I try to put them back into my cart it says they are already there.

I've logged out and in again but that made no difference.  I'm on FireFox and I don't know how to clear my cache.  I'm on Win 7.  Any suggestions on how to fix?

I would just log in on Edge or IE & finish the order that way.

Add any other item to the cart while you are logged in, not one that already is in the cart. With a bit of luck, that will work.

Here's how to empty the cavhe if that doesn't work: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-clear-firefox-cache

Make sure that you are fully logged in, then add another random item to the cart.   go to checkout and the cart should be working properlyu,  now you just need to remove the item you don't want.

This is something that happens, regardless of which browser you are using, when there is a disparity between log ins.  The software gets a wee bit confused if you add items to your cart when you are not fully logged in.  Adding another unrelated item, once you are logged in to the store, sorts it out,
