  • Ix - It's got to be one object. So if you exoported more than one thing an an obj and reimported it, that could work. Maybe there's a way to make a geometry shell of more than one thing, and collide with that?

You could stick a sphere there and add a smoothing modifier to the pants to collide with it

Ignorant question that I've always wondered: is it possible to make clothing or whatever collide/smooth to more than one object at a time?

AFAIK you can only select one item as the target.

  • K, just ran some tests, and I can't figure out a way to make a geoshell work with more than one object, so that's not a go.

Yeah that's what I thought so using a primitive sphere wouldn't really work because you'd lose the figure collision.

At that point you could basically just make your own bulge morph for G3M...

Personally I'd just recommend waiting for a DO sale and grabbing the body morphs because they're so worth it.

Alternatively, a Zev0 sale and grabbing Shape Shift which is also very essential - not sure on the bulge part for G3M but I assume it has one?

no but you could hide everything but clothes and export base for an obj morph target

or you could use the sphere on his crotch and make one that way too

Thanks Ix! I've added the Shape Shift products to my wish list. :) They're pretty much out of my budget at full price, but I'll keep an eye on them and hopefully see them go on a deep discount sale so I can get 'em. :)

Male-M3dia frequently includes bulge morph in his character and morph packs.

You could use a deformer on the clothes. It's a little tricky to learn but after that, pretty easy for simple bulges.

Presumed it was a Avatar: Last Airbender reference  smiley  And Kenji definitely looks like he could be Prince Zuko's cousin (at least to me)

I think they match pretty well. attached is a relatively simple render (2 versions my preferred PS tonemapping version, and one with Daz tonemapping defaults)  They have pretty similar faces IMO, noses and eyelids in particular, I think Aiko's body is perhaps a bit more stylized, but I think that (barring supermuscled characters) this tends to be true in other mediums as well.

IDK I never thought Aiko looked old to begin with, I mean she looks older than Keiko, but Keiko looked about 12-14. Its hard to tell with stylized characters but I would place both in the 18-25 range

    .

    Where is that hair from?

  • j cadej cade Posts: 2,310

Aiko's hair is Kendra hair for Star. Kenji's I threw together super quickly in blender, (like 10 minutes and there are a lot of holes in it) The materials are my own blend. basically start with any tiling hair set (like OOTs), with the bump and normal maps kept in but the color maps swapped out for just using plain colors, and no transparency maps

If you have SimTenero Shape Reprojector I'm sure you could throw together a decent genital bulge morph...

I don't have that. It would be cheaper to buy the Genesis 3 Male Body Morphs. lol

And simpler. And you get a bunch of other insanely useful dials as well as the bulge (same thing for ShapeShift.)

Yeah, I'm feeling the pull to those for sure. They've been on my wish list for a couple of months and I'm hoping they get added to a deep sale soon. :D

Kenji 7 is nice.   I've been reluctant to jump on the Genesis 3 bandwagon until one or two products I'm waiting for comes out but I like the style of Kenji.   And the pic of Kenji and Aiko up above look great together!

That said, I was curious can Genesis 2 wear Genesis 3 clothing?  I've always gone from the oppoite way.  At any rate, I have a new project and the clothing that comes with Kenji will work great.

Funny you should mention that show my wife and daughter have been binge watching it all week so I got the reference right away.

I binge watched it about 6 weeks ago.  Loved it.  Then took a break before binge watching Legend of Korra.  I liked the latter even better, especially how fast the world was advancing, as well as the changes made to lighting and color pallettes.  Both had excellent characterizations and well-told stories for the the overall arc as well as the intra and inter-episode and season arcs.  It was impressive too, how well the creators aligned different fighting styles to each of the four elements, and even moreso within each element.

I think if one is open to it, one can learn a lot of good things about graphic arts, camera work, lighting, the use of color, texture, special effects (yes, animation special effects is a "thing!"), scene composition, and character and camera animation and movement.  Yes, even though it's animated and much of the artwork has a "painting" feel to it.

And Steampunk!  Come on, who can say no to Steampunk?surpriselaugh

This should allow you to use Genesis 3 Female clothes on Genesis 2 Female figures. http://www.daz3d.com/genesis-3-female-for-genesis-2-female-s

And this one is for the males: http://www.daz3d.com/genesis-3-male-for-genesis-2-male-s
