I really like the looks of Sasori and Ryo Hair is different, nice to have a variety. The only thing I don't particularly care for is the Rainstorm turtleneck- why put something high collared on a sleeveless shirt that is going to be sweat producing and IMO uncomfortable? There's only left and right adjust, can someone check to see if that means lowering it completely or mostly gone?

I really like Kang's casual clothing for men, that brings the price of the Pro bundle to under $40. Great deal! Thanks Daz!

I don't know if he would go well with the new Aiko or not. My complaint about her was she looked a bit too real for her to suit being an anime character. On the other hand, Kenji is perfect for the look I want in an anime character, and even though I've been really watching my pennies, I splurged on him. I picked up the one item and it dropped the Pro Bundle down just below $40 US. I used my monthly DAZ Plat. coupon and I got both the bundle and the mercenary poses (or whatever they're called) for $41.98.

Haven't looked at any of the products yet, sen the email but that was about it, I'll look at the bundle products and probably buy, I know my thinking is probably childish but like I stated before, they could've thrown the Hiro 7 as the name, the character is what is, it's sales aren't going to be effected by replacing the name with something else.

From experimenting the collar adjustments actually move the collarbone/shoulder areas of the outfit. The neck settings adjust the collar but I haven't found any way to hide it.

Thanks so much for checking! I hate having to Geometry edit it so will probably just switch out the shirt.

I've got the Kenji starter bundle in my cart right now. There's nothing wrong with the additional items in the Pro bundle but, as seems to happen so often with the male sets, the designs of the additional outfits are not the kind of things I can ever see myself ever actually using and the additional hair and skin are both generic enough that I'd rather put the extra $15 towards some other toys.

Well, if I had the money, I'd be getting him. But as usual, the guy comes out mid month, when my cash is on the tight side. One of these months I'll remember to avoid taking advantage of the early month sales and wait for the mid month gentleman's arrival.... at which point he'll be some sort of Sci-Fi Hero, which will please most folks to death, but leave me a bit cold. :P (Sci-Fi just isn't my thing.)

(And by early month sales, I don't mean buying the girl that usually comes out at the start of the month. Just taking advantage of the sales her arrival generates to get props and guy stuff I actually want.)

It's Aiko's hair color; that greyish shade of blonde (I think) does make her look older, but her face still looks young to me.

Its not the hair, Her face has an implied maturity to it. Kenji does not, hence the age disparity. I think he will be better paired with Aiko 5 that with 7. Can we see him with the other Aikos? Please?

I don't hate the new Aiko, I actually think she has a pretty nice look. But it's unfortunately that Kenji looks exactly like what a guy should look like in the Aikoverse while the new Aiko is crossing over from a different dimension.

I actually like Kenji more than the new Aiko, at least for my vision of the Aikosphere :) Fortunately I've got lots of stuff to mix with Aiko to soften/cuten her up a bit. I don't buy a lot of men but I'll get Kenji. I just need to check my balance first...

EDIT: Purchased, will download when I get home. And to think I got Aiko a while back but haven't had time to do a proper render...need to get around to rendering...

I totally agree with this. Kenji looks great as is, and Aiko ...alllmost works with him. But she works a whole lot better when you mix her a bit that way. 100% Aiko is a bit much, but she has some lovely characters and combines with other iconics really well. With Kenji I don't really feel the need to do that.

I'm absolutely thrilled with Kenji. The attached image is all Kenji, un-anime'd a bit with morphs, because -- I have no respect. I used one mesh light (and environment), I used the skin as is and a new Capsces pose which rocked.

The thing that's so awesome for me is all these Daz characters provide genetics. Why use them out of the box, when you can make the perfect imaginary boyfriend, then dump him and make another perfect imaginary boyfriend (I'm not very faithful to my imaginary boyfriends.)

If I may be so bold, I think the artists take more risks with the male characters than the female ones, which is great for me being that I focus on the male form. But...just saying.

Almost every paired character in the last year has offered a discount on the 'partner' for purchasing the first one. Now I have to re-think whether or not to purchase the Pro Bundle. *sigh*

When Aiko came out, there was no reference to the next male release. It did surprise me a bit, as several of the previous releases had discounts for the upcoming male figure. But they didn't advertise a discount, so I'm not surprised there isn't one. (If you really don't like Aiko that much, you can return the product/bundle. It hasn't been 30 days, yet.)

However, the discount on Kenji for buying one of the “Action Hero” new releases is better than any discount I've seen for purchasing the female counterpart. I hope this is a trend DAZ will continue. It's not that I don't like the ladies. I do. But I want men to go with them: pretty, rugged, and everything in between. And I want the hair and clothing to go with them. So I really, really like this sale format.

Thanks for the compliment on my quicky render. I had to leave in a hurry and just got back. Someone asked what hair and outfit I used on Aiko7. It was Annika Storm and Anjou Hair. The poses came from Mothers and Their Daughters. Aiko7 being the daughter and Kenji7 being the mother :) I may finish the image if I can find the time later this evening. I still think they are a good match. I wouldn't want them to look like brother and sister. If Aiko7 has what it takes to get a younger man than good for her!!! lol

I'm with Serene Night on this one. I far prefer older men who look physically mature as well. But, if I did renders with teen or anime teens I would probably get him because he does look good for that genre and I do like some of the clothing. But its not something I have to have at the moment.

I think they match pretty well. attached is a relatively simple render (2 versions my preferred PS tonemapping version, and one with Daz tonemapping defaults) They have pretty similar faces IMO, noses and eyelids in particular, I think Aiko's body is perhaps a bit more stylized, but I think that (barring supermuscled characters) this tends to be true in other mediums as well.

IDK I never thought Aiko looked old to begin with, I mean she looks older than Keiko, but Keiko looked about 12-14. Its hard to tell with stylized characters but I would place both in the 18-25 range

Okay, now I'm warming up to Aiko 7 and Kenji, Brightening up the render certainly brings out the toon style to the render. Love to know the postwork used to get the effect.

I render out an exr (via canvases) and then use photoshops Camera RAW tools (under filters near the top) They're also really great for smoothing out grainy renders, if you're impatient like me and end renders early.

First Genesis3 character that made me want to buy it, particularly the Sasori character by Silver is terrific (not surprised because Silver does such fantastic work with female characters, so makes sense that this talent would carry over to pretty male characters too).

But I don't use Genesis3. I've seen that the latest plugin addon for Gen X2 would allow me to theoretically take a Genesis3 morph/character and put it on a Genesis1 figure. I'm wondering how well it works and how close it will come, I haven't picked it up because til now just haven't seen any Genesis3 characters that leapt out at me as outstanding must-have, but Kenji is excellent enough to make me consider it.
