What do you guys think? Does he make a good partner for Aiko 7?
Personally, Kenji himself doesn't really "grab me" or make me want to buy him right away. The base character, to me, isn't really distinctive enough. However, Sasori looks like a great character, imo, and really makes buying Kenji look much more appealing.
What are you guys' thoughts on Kenji? I'd love to hear everyone's opinion on the character and if he's a buy or a pass for you.

Kenji looks extremely good for what he is -- a male manga-esque figure. I don't think the market is that large for them but I'd love to be proven wrong :)
Also, the two scifi outfits released are fantastic. The Explorer outfit reminds me of something but I can't place my finger on it...
Hope to see lots of renders. Sometimes I can think I hate a figure from the promos, then I'll start seeing it used in art and fall in love. Right now, he's doing nothing for me.
I do however love that Ryo Hair by AprilYSH (I'd use it on G3F), and the Rainstorm and Suneko outfits have caught my eye (especially if I can see them on G3F)
Inspired by Dr Doom, I would guess.
I think he looks pretty good as an A7 counterpart. "Rain Storm" outfit is missing Cloud's sword >.>
Sad that there's no bonus for owning A7 pro bundle, but I guess the buy extra item deal is okay? I haven't done the math yet.
The Explorer outfit reminds me of the new Star Wars....not a fan so don't know much but for some reaoson, I thought of both Kylo Ren and that Capt Phasma (?)
given that I know absolutely jack about Star wars, I could be wrong tho.....

I'm not saying that any of these WERE the inspiration for the items, just that these are popular things in gaming that look extremely similar, so making versions of them for Daz figures would be a good idea in my mind (assuming you could ever get the gaming or anime market buying Daz figures.)
I mean, it has the same top pants boots gloves and single shoulder piece as the final fantasy version.. it's probably as close as you're going to get before someone screams copyright.
Overall my initial impression is that he would fit in well with the current final fantasy generation of gaming, which is what Aiko looks like too, so I think it's good. I'll buy him because "anime and guys don't sell" but not sure which yet...

With the exception of rainstorm trousers, they look wrong somehow - rest of the outfit looks great.
NIce! DAZ finally managed a male manga style figure that can work with either shonen or bi-shonen styles.
Also, it's really cool to see a male figure that actually has makeup options (Fujio.) Although I don't like the look of the bolt, having eye makeup options is an interesting alternative to have available.
yeah looks like the various content is inspired by final fantasy, destiny and maybe halo for galactic armor, the other two fantasy ones arcane and suneko remind me of something too can't think haven't played any devil might cry games weren't there some characters like that or at least a similer game or maybe an anime series or movie but sure reminds me of something anyways anyway very currrent style anime series/movie and game inspired stuff including hair so I'm expecting lots of game/anime inspired renders probably need few more outfits too probably see male versions of some of the ones we've had for the ladies kinda skimpy and sort of rag tags of different bits of clothing and odds and ends slapped together like final fantasy, mad max, lots of 80s scifi stuff and anima and game stuff

I bought a $102 gift card for the discount so I'm not sure on the specifics but it probably comes to around $93,234,765 AUD. $39 for a pro bundle is a good price though, new or not.

Honestly, when I first saw him I thought he was a female. I should've realised there was a reason why the girl in the Akira hair promo wasn't flashing her baps in the customary promo fashion!

I am considering him ..... The outfits rather nice and I think I can convert them over to G2M and his morph too with GenX, the lousy but slowly improving Australian dollar the main hurdle now.

I think he matches Aiko pretty well and like Aiko, takes forever to render for some reason (is it the eyes?) He's also more broad shouldered than I expected.
Now someone can post actually interesting renders~

Thanks! I feel the same way - as soon as I get a new character I do an "what's in the box" style render so I can actually look at the textures properly. The official promos may be stylish (actually I think they've been pretty decent of late) but I want to see what I'm actually buying.
