You apply the presets to the lights which make them scale so they appear large or small in the glint of your character's eye reflections.
Thanks nemesis10, caught you response on the other discussion
If you have decent Iray eyes and position the lights properly, you won't have to fake the catchlights. Here's some examples
I forgot that I used the product here: http://www.daz3d.com/gallery/#images/176386
Thanks everybody. For some reason, I get better eyes using my Genesis 2 figures with the skin converters by V3Digitimes than I get with Genesis 3 figures. I guess it takes a little fiddling around with
Really? I didn't think the converter worked on the eyes. I'll have to poke around with that. Love V3Digitimes Converter though.
This pack isn't about faking the catch lights, its about having the ability to add different shapes reflected in the eyes that aren't possible using just what comes with Iray.
The pack is simple to use. The pack has 25 preset lights to show you how they're set up. If you look in the scene tab, you'll see a catch light, fill light and key light. Click on the catch light in the scene tab, and under 'captures' you'll see additional options to further cutomize the lights, by either, scaling up the catch light or changing the catch light reflection.
There are additional hints/tips on the promo images too. I thought this product simple enough not to need a 2-3 page tutorial, which I usually include with several of my light packages.
I bought this product yesterday and I love it. I highly recommend it.
And really, it's less than $3 right now for PC+ members, so it would be almost a crime to pass it up, imo. But even for people who don't have PC+, I think it's a good buy. I really like this set!
Are these lights parented to the eyes in some way, or do they need to be adjusted for the characters pose/height etc? Thanks
