Moving my G2M figures to G3M

Hello everyone,
I am working on a sci fi graphic novel, and have constructed the characters over the last year from G2M. However, now that G3M has come along, I want to start using the items and gear with the new figures. However, so much time and energy has been invested in the G2M characters, and their morphs/faces/skins, are exactly as I want them to be.
is there currently a way, to transfer those exact figures over to G3M? A cloner, converter or such?
Sure, I could continue to use G2M, and will likely do so, but I do want to take advantage of the G3Ms flexibility if I can. Any help is geratly appreciated.
Regards
Linton

The easiest method is using GenX2 with the Genesis 3 extensions on it. I'm not sure how many modules you'll need.
I'll warn you that you can't transfer HD morphs, but everything else...
Also, the skins require yet ANOTHER product to convert.
Another approach is to simply say 'nuts to this' and adapt clothing and props to G2M. Personally it sounds easier, but it has its own challenges.
Or a third choice is to keep your G2M characters and add characters that are new and G3M; I've never understood this urge to endlessl transfer characters to new generations.
You should first explain what advantage you expect from moving to Gen3. Although the obvious one is that pretty much nothing is now being sold for Gen2 at Daz, as exidenced by a quick look at Daz store.
For me, I think genesis 3 male is improved in the pec region and I like the foreheads a lot better that I've stopped using genesis 2 for anything but monsters and aliens. Of course like everything it is a matter of taste.... But that alone for me was a strong reason to upgrade.
I think the bending on Genesis 3 is a lot better, particularly the shoulders and surrounding areas. If I put the arms down on heavily morphed G2M I often see the upper chest bulging out horribly at the sides. On other poses it is not so bad, but since few people in real life walk around in a T-Pose, I think the relaxed arms down pose is the most important to look natural. G3M does not have this issue.
I did alot of transfers of M4/V4 character morphs to G2
But I am skipping the G3 Figures entirely as they dont accept animation data within studio not even from aniMate2.
Me 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 or 6 or 7.
Thanks everyone for your replies.
As for my I am want to move to Gen 3 instead of sticking with Gen2M, is mainly because I want to be able to move into the latest generation, and have the items and gear being made for them ready to go and consistent across the board. All Gen3 items have iRay, which I am really liking, as all new props, locations, clothing are all coming with iRay, and I want my rendering to be faster and more reliable. Iray renders blisteringly fast for me, and as I use only props and gear with iRay shaders on it, I am able to push out high resolution, high quality, and large-sized pictures in a 10th of the time I could with 3Delight.
That said, moving to Gen 3 puts all my items into iRay for renders, meaning there is nothing that will look odd or out of place, nor slow my render times, have issues with mis-matched shaders, and hopefully give a smoother flow.
If I knew a way to already transfer the G2M to G3M (and G2F to G3F), I'd have already loaded Daz onto my new computer with only G3 items loaded in.
Serene Night, for me it is less the upgrade of G3 morphwise, and more then shaders/skins than anything else.
Fred, I expect the better render times within iRay form moving to G3. Already getting great results, and as I move further into the world of 3D, I wish to keep up with the technology to push my ability as best I can.
Have you compared your older renders to a strictly iRay/G3 figure/scene? The difference for me has been nothing short of the difference between stick figures I drew as a 10yr old, to somethign Pixar would produce. I LOVE the new iRay, and while it took a lot of tweaking, asking other artists here that I admire, and many hours of tria and error, I am really happy with this generation.
I am the opposite of those who stand by V4 and M4, they look so outdated and plastic looking to me in comparison. They had the largest range of gear sure, and that''s a lot of investment, but my investment in the new tech is really paying off for me now, with exponentially shorter render times and far higher quality than ever before. It's been worth every cent.
All of this has a flow on effect, due to faster renders, I can work on more images, and am currently able to take on more commissions within a given time period, which means more money for me.
The big thing that suffers with V4/M4, for me, is that the textures are generally smaller. I can adjust a lot of stuff, but at that point, the textures become mostly useless.
That's why I no longer use the figures, I do Auto-fit some of their gear and props, often using an iRay shader to 'update' it a bit.
I still like many of the M4 and V4 figures, I just don't use them for rendering anything new.
Apart from getting the morph packs and one of the Pro packs (because was super cheap) I plan on skipping Genesis 3 entirely, I just find that Genesis 1 and Genesis 2 are good enough for what I need or want..
Over the years I reckon that I have spent about $5000+ on software and content for my artwork.. After a while it just gets to costly and when the Genesis products only have about a 2 year lifecycle before they are replaced with something new it just gets ridiculous..
So will wait to see what they bring with Genesis 4 in 2017 since that is likely to be when they will release it, but even then may skip that iteration as well.. :D
Why I have stayed with Genesis 1 & 2 for that reason a lot less mucking around.
