As the title says I was doing my back ups today and ran my virus scan first before i do a shadow copy of my system and got this alert stating User activity monintoring software was detected in daz studio.
Kaspersky wants me to delete the file at the least quaintine it ..This is located in DAZ Studio 4.9 beta . the offending file name is Freeimage.dll located in C:\Program Files\DAZ 3D\DAZStudio4 Public Build\libs\iray\Freeimage.dll.
Anyone know what it is> I quarintined the file for now, until I know if its something i need in daz or not. before i delete it.
Please see my screen captures below. for verification of my virus scan alert.

Thanks chohole that is the info I needed to know. :)
There is another thread around where someone has posted images showing that most AVs are not reacting at all. Kapersky and one other are the only ones throwing up the false positive (or I suppose I should say presumptive false positive.)
Edioted to add link to that thread http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/1356536/#Comment_1356536
Ivy, is there a way you can tell your AV to ignor DS?
Hi Most modern AV software and Firewall utilities allow for you to set permanent exceptions for application that you feel confident are false positives.
Keep in mind many software apps today perferm license checks upon startup and will error/quit if your firewall is blocking incoming& outgoing communication.
I personally am generally oppossed third party application "phoning home"and other expeditionary online activity without my expressed permission. but for some applications ,Like the reality plugin, you have little choice if you want to use it .
Ive been running kaspersky for a few years but i just upgraded to the new version of it and that when it through up those flags.
@Mattymanx I was able to add just the file to the exclusion or allowed programs in my AV. Malware byte didn't detect anything so I was assuming it was safe file thats why I asked my question before taking any action.
@Chohole Thanks for the info I knew someone would have a answer, Kaspersky can be touchy sometimes. But its a good AV and not as resource intensive as some other AV's :)
