Glacier Queen Fix

There are some problems with Glacier Queen. I just received word that Arki is not planning on updating this package, so I would like to share my fixes with you.
Problem: Underdress distorts at the joints.
Solution: Apply Smoothing Modifiers. Select the dress in the scene tab, Edit, Object, Geometry, Apply Smoothing Modifier.

Problem: Overdress won't move with V4.
Solution: Manually Fit to V4. Select the overdress in the scene tab, right click, Fit To: V4.

Problem: Oversleeves distort when moving arms.
No Solution: The Readme indicates that the sleeves do not work in Daz Studio. Drat!

You need to play with the surfaces a little as well: apply Uberbase or Iray Uberbase. Test rendered in 3Delight.

That's too bad.
Very nice work. If you do any morph fixes, I would suggest posting just the fixes on sharecg so we can all enjoy and of course give you credit. If you are handy with Hexagon has a bridge (if you can make it work) or better yet Blender you can bring these meshes into the 3D modeler of your choice and fix them permantly and mod them to fit perfectly with the characters and morphs of your choice. Sickleyield has a tutorial for Blender and Daz clothing morphs on her Deviantart page.
I have played with morphs once with the pirate coat in Hexagon. It was both and interesting and frustrating experience, but it worked.
I will be checking out SY's tutorial, but at this point, I want to concentrate on a contest. This was my quick and dirty fix that I wanted to share with others who picked up this package.
This product like a number of others by Arki require the Poser cloth room for posing and draping sleeves and other parts.
Thanks dracon. :) With the instructions, anyone should be able to do their own fixes and get it working. :)
Isn't there a way to drap these in Poser and export that pose or whatever, to be used in DS? I seem to remember doing that in the past.....
The dyn2morph script worked last time I tried it. That will let you drape in Poser and then bring the entire animation into Daz Studio.
Drape in poser, export draped cloth as .obj, then load that obj as a morph in DS.
Thanks!
Well, shoot! I don't have Poser...
Guess I'm out of luck.
Hey Spooky, thanks for the tip. However, I don't have Poser, but I just got Carrara. Will that approach work with Carrara?
