    I saw the notification that you posted and immediately thought "okay I'll see what she says and I'm going to reply something about wanting to see what she would do with Aiko as a base because I love her ideas with characters" but I guess that isn't necessary now :p

    Aiko 6 and 7 Comparison

    The new Aiko isn't bad although I'm not a fan of the trend toward making everything realistic. I think it’s a mistake especially with characters that have a toon, or in this case, anime flavor. It bleeds the style out of the models and makes them bland. What’s the point of CGI without a little artistic flare?

    I think A7 looks like a bit more refined A6 when you compare them both, but they both have that weird ..not a ton not quite real thing going. Fortunately they tend to provide a great base for other characters, and we do have an actual made to be anime character coming in Star. I'm bored of realistic characters - I have tons of them by now.

    Not really a big fan of previous Aiko's but I really like this one because she's not too anime and mixed with other morphs gives a new and different look to them. Here's something I was playing around with...

    Holy crap we're getting a lot of content for Aiko. I'm really glad I didn't decide on whether to get the whole Eleanor bundle or just the character last night since it's now part of another chaining offer.

    I'm not sure her face is really my personal style, but I really like her makeups (Aiko learn from this >.>)

    Three great bundles in three days with bonuses for buying some of the even more items released on top when they're all things I'm interested in is starting to hurt. I'm so torn on which bits to empty my wallet on.

    Nice thing about her is that she can be so many styles, was trying to hit a particular style with her in this character. :) Glad you like her makeups~Loved making them !

    All these lovely pics aren't helping my bank balance out -it's okay just don't look at the pretty colours, don't look at the-

    Seriously though, I'll pick up both Mira and Gracie (who I haven't mentioned yet but I also like and the G2F anime outfits were really inspiring in the promos) along with the two bundles tonight. Mostly because I like them, but also because I want you guys to keep making cool different things. I'm kind of stunned at how much supporting content Aiko 7 has already gotten compared to past characters, and I highly approve.

    I'm assuming you're also working on stuff for Star (which you probably can't talk about but you can listen to me talking to myself) and I really hope it goes in a completely different direction from Aiko's more realistic gamer look. Also I miss the blocky anime hairs~ Okay enough from me now~

    OH. Ha. I thought Spit was asking about dial spinning or character saving or something. Yeah, that character in both pics I shared are of DC Mira (out today), my first collab with ChangelingChick :)

    All of your characters are unique and this is not an exception!  Love it!

    Big Render: 3200x3600 pixel image which takes forever for my crappy computer
    Lower the quality: You can only upload a 2mb image on the forums (as far as I know) so I had to lower the image quality a bit in photoshop, though it isn't particularly noticeable.

    Neither of them really have much to do with Iray itself.

    It's Iray, scene only with three point light.  The fill light is really soft but other than that, nothing special.  It does have a strange quality.  The floor is a plane with a "plastic bag" shader on it.  Maybe that's reflecting strangely on the models.

    Oh I love that! I was going to pass on her because I use G3 for realistic renders and G1 for toony stuff and I prefer the less realistic Aiko, but that render is making me see her on a different light...
