Okay, I made some LODs with Decimator. Now how do I save them?

As the subject says, I have successfully created LODs for some high-poly models using Decimator. How do I save them? Is there a way to associate them with the original high-poly model so that I can just select them from the Model Resolution dropdown? I am not finding this information in Decimator tutorials so far. Thanks!

Can't help with saving from Decimator but for associating them once you've worked that out this is 4.7 but shouldn't be much different in later.
That only works till you close your scene and needs to be reset next time.
I can't work out how to permanently associate LOD files with a figure, saving as a scene/sub-set/character etc doesn't seem to have any affect so if some one has that info it 'id be handy shared.
I had the same issue. I submitted a support request and was told to export the decimated object as a wavefront obj file. Then to reuse the LOD you have to use Edit>Object>Geometry>Add Level of Detail. Every time you reload your scene, you have to do this over again (the reload LOD part)!
I've had only intermittent success with this. Some objs will reload properly as LOD and some will result in only partial objects. The ones that reload as only partial objects still seem to be valid obj files, because I can import the obj and it is fine. If seems to be the Add Level of Detail part that does not always work.
That's an absolute pain. There is a script in D|S 2.3 that give access to 4th gen LODs from parameters but it's encrypted so I can't even look at it.
Maybe someone's written one for 4.5+ but I've looked and looked with no luck.
