Guns & Firearms?
in The Commons
So, does anyone know where I can find realistic guns like the glock 17, baretta m9, desert eagle etc for Genesis 3 female? I've got a couple off the daz store like the scifi weapons pack and the GR15, but other than that I'm finding it really hard to find firearms (especially pistols).
Cheers :)

Also renderosity vendor motokamishii.
I always though the Firearm pack looked ok. http://www.daz3d.com/the-firearm-pack
Hands up! This Firearm Pack has a lethal dose of extras! In addition to an AR-15 Rifle, a 12-gauge Shotgun, AR-15 Tactical Rifle, a 22 Caliber Semiautomatic Rifle and other lethal weapons, this pack includes all the details with shrouds, lights, saddles, shells, and other props and textures.
Eight Gun Props
Absolutely - very detailed real-world firearms, with multiple materials and variants included for each. Has a Glock, Beretta, Desert Eagle (.44 and .50 variants), 1911 autos, a few old west guns, MAC-10 and -11, snubnose S&W revolvers...
@MarcCCTx
they look ok but none are accurate models of any specific weapon. The Thompson is the closest, but not accurate
A "be aware" note — I have quite a few of them and they're excellent models, but remember they're Poser models, so all the materials are set up for Poser. Rendering in D|S, whether for 3Delight or Iray, will need pretty hefty materials tweaking. Also, the models are created as lots and lots of little parts, not all one mesh, and many of the sub-sub-sub-parts are hidden, which can complicate things if you don't realise what's happening.
Please keep in mind that just like cars, weapons designs and likenesses are protected by Copyright and Trademark. One cannot make/sell an absolutely accurate Glock *anything* without running the possibility of getting into trouble. One can absolutely make "look-alikes" or generic weapon "types" but get too close and (pun intended) BANG! you're in Court.

Thanks everyone :)
..even just using a brand name can "trigger" an infringement suit. This happened to Chevrolet when they released a car called the Baretta. They were taken to court by the gun manufacturer of the same name.
There are severael sets that include some nice realistic firearms as included props. you might check out "the Armory" http://www.daz3d.com/the-armory
