Wondering what the newest version of Daz Studio was at the time the PA said, "This fully weight mapped dragon figures works in Poser version 10 and above, and is compatible with the newest version of DAZ Studio."
Even though there's no texture now, does anyone who purchased this already know if the dragon works in Daz Studio version 4.6?
"know if the dragon works in Daz Studio version 4.6?"
Well, yes, and no. Everything that is there loads fine in 4.6, and all the morph and pose sliders function as expected, but ...
The membranes seem to be problematic. With the dragon loaded in the zero-pose position, the membranes (which are separate props) load correctly and parent themselves to the dragon's chest. However, if the wings are adjusted using the pose sliders, the membranes refuse to follow. Attempting to use the sliders for the membranes to duplicate the position of the wings was an exercise in futility. Strangely, if one of the canned poses was applied to the dragon, and the same pose applied to the membranes, everything seemed to fit as it should. I'm not certain what is going on there, and its going to take some sleuthing to try and unravel it. For myself, I have Poser anyway, so a lot will depend on how much wrestling I want to do. Others may have some ideas and it certainly isn't beyond the realm of possibility that I missed something simple. But if that was the case, it certainly was not for a lack of trying.
As for the missing texture maps and the files for the M4 version of the clothing, I believe that I know what happened there. DAZ and RDNA tended to package their content for download differently. RDNA was all manual downloads only, of course, and they tended to break up large downloads into bite-sized zip archives in deference to those who may not have the bandwidth to handle everything in one gulp. The Ocean Queen megabundle, for example, original was broken up into 14 separate downloads. From experience I know that these archives tended to be given somewhat cryptic filenames that did not reveal which elements each contained. Not really a big issue - download them and extract them all to your content folder and everything ends up where it is supposed to be. It looks to me like someone had intended to separate everything into individual zips by the products in the bundle, then found out that was easier said than done, so some stuff simply got lost in translation, with two archives basically ending up being empty. So its easy to understand how it could happen.

It's not easy to understand how even 15 minutes of QA would have missed the problem, though.

The wing membranes are intended for the Poser Dynamic Cloth room, however Arki also made them morphing props, so they have morphs that allow you to simulate certain wing positions.... at least that's how I read it looking at the readme. I'd double check how accurate it was, but I have a render brewing at the moment.
I just checked my Product Library. Both of the missing packages have beenlinked and are avaiable.
Now I am waiting for the missing bits from the SciWizard to get re-connected. I'm pretty sure it was the same issue of not all of the small packages from RDNA getting combined into the larger ones here at DAZ. But .obj and .cr2 files are randomly missing from both outfits.
The Totem Owl set seems to still be missing it's textures as well. I'm afraid this is all a bit of a dog's dinner and it's dissapointing to have no offcial word from DAZ about it. An email to customers to let them know it is being fixed would at least be polite - and while I know these are at a rediculously cheap price that doesn't excuse anything.
Daz has been closed for the holiday, which is why no one is getting responses, yet.
Yep. And because it's a long weekend with a bunch of problems (mostly dealing with the newly arrived RDNA stuff) there's going to be a backlog of support tickets, so responses come Tuesday + will be slow.

That's one of the reasons I have not put in my own ticket, yet. I'm hoping when they fix everyone elses stuf mine will be fixed, too.

Also why is this addon pack http://www.daz3d.com/dragon-rider for Poser only?

Well I have the mats for the dragon but they refuse to apply. So not sure what's going on with that.
The texture files are missing (assuming it's like my download), so there's nothing for the Materials to apply
Well that would do it lol.

Oooo, pretty
Before posing, attatch membranes, then apply the same pose to the membranes as you do to the dragon.
How'd you get the textures to show up? Did daz file the downloadble files or did you find a way to do it manually, or is it your own texture?
You can also convert the dragon to weightmapping and then use the transfrer utility on the membranes to make them conforming.
Oooo ... ooo ... please walk me through the steps to do that? I've never done it before.
The textures showed up yesterday in the Install Manager.
AWESOME! Do you happen to know if the other missing files showed up? Like the clothing files that people were saying were missing?
Michael's dragon riding clothing for Ocean Queen showed up and I think there was something else, but I wasn't really paying close attention.
That's great news. Thanks. I know many people will be glad to hear it.
