Have a Cigar

Has anyone ever done a mouth morph to simulate someone having a cigar in the corner of their mouth?  Since I don't think you can partially open the mouth only in a corner, I would think this would not be possible with sliders (but then again, there are more talended folks on here than me, so I thought I'd ask).

No, and that is needed. I had a devil of a time getting that to look right in my last render. It was easier wtih gen 2 using the mouth morphs for speaking sounds, but gen 3 doesn't seem that easy.

Just drag the little bones on the lips around..  no morphs needed on G3.

Erm, the way the body is rigged is actually pretty much close to industry standard for nearly every other production out there, from games to movies.

This is useful. I hadn't thought to tweak the lips that way. =-)

    Hi two questions:
    1) Have you personally created any Character animation with genesis 3 involving locomotion??...if so please share
( and the one ,single ,free sexy strut tutorial aniblock that  Daz is giving away does not count)

    2) Can you Direct us to a link or article or forum post made by any Real person that  actually works in the Gaming/VFX industry that uses or  even offers an opinion the Daz genesis 3 model rig ??

Heh, yeah I have to go with Wolf on that one...try applying a free BVH file to any DAZ figure and watch the crazy legs fly. I assume that isn't industry-standard.   ;)

LOL !!I never actually rendered that one out.

It seems I might  have some use ,in animation, for G3F After all
If a client has a rush job for a tall party girl failing her field sobriety test.

The problem is clearly visible if you have the graphMate plugin and

check the X rotation Channel of her hip.
A womans Hips roll left & right on the X axis but do so

    independantly of her spinal column.

This "sultry walk  aniblock" is propagating the X axis  Left/right

rolling up her entire spine causing that obvious left /right teetering

you see when you render the animation and when you click on the

video tutorial link you see it has been pulled offline.

With some manual grunt gruntwork in the grpah editor this problem

is not insurmountable as I have manually fixed such issues in poser

    for years in the past
But as My time is precious I will stick with figures that are rigged

correctly to accept  the standard biped motions that are compatible

    with programs I use.

Just for comparison here is a simple "every day" walk using the Genesis 2  female from a commercially available aniblock for DAZ  Studio. Note how the hips roll naturally without lateral teetering of the entire upper torso like the official G3 tutorial aniblock does with the "improved "rig of G3

Now to address the common mantra that you "need G3 riggin for better compatibility with other programs"
here is is the same walking motion Data from the Genesis2  aniblock
    Exported into iclone as BVH
and converted to Imotion for one of the stock Iclone 5 avatars. in three mouse clicks
I did not attach her to a walk path in Iclone so one can see how the correct hip roll/spine realtionship is maintained

And lastly the same Genesis 2 animation Exported from Daz studio as FBX to our seat of Lightwave 2015.. again no manual fixing required straight export /import.

What I would like to know is WHERE did you get the cigar?  And cigarettes for that matter.  I have some pipes and I did find a cigarette holder, but no plain cigarettes.
