4th of July sale is still in the banner, so it should still work.
No - items change every day - it's new items today and yesterdays are full price.
SNIFF!
Kerya, theiy're still at the sales price right now. I just bought the three bundles that I wanted (Owls, OceanQueen, Bandages V4) at the sales price plus I recieved the one free item as well. You should check.
Some have sales prices, some don't.
Yep, some that were in the sale a few days ago are still at the sale price while others that just went up yesterday have already gone back to full price. I'm not sure if that was intended or not; but I sure hope they set them back to the $4 sale price. My cart jumped from the $20 level to the $140 level. Needless to say I dumped it.
My wishlist grew ...
I have skipped this sale up to now as there where too many bundles where it was unclear what was included due to the other items not yet being available. As such, I agree a catch up makes sense once all of the items are out.
Mine too for now. While I like to keep a fairly short wishlist, I put the items I missed there just incase there is a catch-up sale
Yep, I saw several items I thought I might like but it was unclear on what exactly they where or what exactly was in the bundles due to no proper discriptions and the items in the bundle not being listed. It was odd for sure. I had to pass on a few things I thought I might be interested in - so it wasn't implimented very well, imo.
Yes, I missed many $4 items as well. Please make a catch-up sale, if possible.
Yes, also, they need to reset previous purchases from RDNA and redo this whole sale. I had to keep checking my purchase history at RDNA and found I already owned several things but they were not marked as owned and not available through DIM. Please redo the whole sale properly... :)
I've bought a bunch of stuff and I've had zero items that 'malfunctioned', knock on wood. Don't be afraid to buy if it interests you! The worst that could happen is an email to customer service :P
I've bought a number of items in the sale and have several that are incorrectly formatted and didn't install corectly. I put in tickets but it is a shame because I did spend quite a bit of my time correcting stuff so I could find it in the right location.
Ooo that's unfortunate :( I suppose I didn't run into an issue because I deliberately made a separate RDNA folder and manually installed them?
That would've fixed most of it I suspect. The stuff was all fixable. But should've been caught by Q&A- assuming my experience is not isolated.
DIM failed to install 3 items. I get "Installation Failed" messages. I installed those 3 manually..
One set seems to have the items in the incorrect directory, so when you clicked on the preset it looks in the wrong place. I moved the items to the place it wanted, and it works... But it all takes time. I prefer click and go, which is why I love DIM so much.
I don't know if it's the case for any others, but I had the DIM "Install Failed!" on the Dragon Braid Hair and it's Tails Add-on. It turns out that some of the filenames have an ampersand in them and they have been put into the manifest file as-is - DIM hits that ampersand and treats it as the start of a "keyword" so stops dead when the rest of the code is not forthcoming. I updated the manifest files to replace each & with & and they ran through DIM just fine. (Though there are lots of texture files missing - needs a ticket I think)
ETA: I guess QA doesn't include running these installers through DIM. As for the missing files, well the installers have the original ReadMe's from the old RuntimeDNA site so someone could have checked they were all present and correct, I'd have thought.
mtl: There are items with missing textures, there's another item that apparently has had problems for 2 months now, it's just... a crapshoot.
Better to spend it on stuff I know will work and save the RDNA stuff for down the road when it'll certainly be on sale again.
Yeah, I bought the CeremonialGear bundle and that failed at install in DIM too. ***sigh***
Yup, speak of the devil. I juuuuust ran into this issue with the Oxygen product. :(
Now, mind you, I've picked up some REALLY gnifty things so far and I'm really thrilled about RDNA stuff percolating into the Daz sphere.
I'm just not terribly confident about grabbing any of it until I have a firm idea whether it's going to be usable.
Well, today is the fourth - it would be nice to have all 4$ items back to 4 dollars???
(As for zips: I am oldfashioned and installing by hand. I even remember the time when zips contained only files, no folders at all and only a readme that told you which folders to create in Geometries and Textures to put the obj and jpg files in ...)
I'm not taking the chance. There was a bundle for two items earlier that I missed. Today I'll just get the two items by themselves for $4 each - still a good price.
UGH, so I figured out why the Oxygen: Infuse bundle wasn't working... it's because Oxygen and Oxygen:Infuse are two different products! Oxygen is the base product, and oddly enough Oxygen:Infuse doesn't explicitly state that the Oxygen product is required
And now Oxygen is back to $25
It didn't happen, booo.
I'd hate to bump this thread, but more problems with products, namely the Victorian Innocence bundle.
The problem? Victorian Innocence: Golden Innocence is a texture addon for the Victorian Innocence product, but nowhere in the product description does it actually say this. Neither Victorian Innocence base outfit nor the bundle reference each other.
I almost ran into this problem again like my previous issue, until I googled the product on RDNA...
So I wasn't as full of it as I sounded earlier, eh? Heh.
To be fair, I would *still* recommend buying now instead of buying later :P :D
That was my mentality. Buy at four bucks, get my freebies, and let daz fix the files.
Whilst I agree with your statement, in my experience, anything offered at a crazy discount, then it often gets offered at a similar (or crazier) discount shortly afterwards. I would guess a lot of these items will end up in a 80% V4/M4 sale at some point, so anything with a base price of 20$ or less will be available for less than $4. However some of the bundles are priced at $50 plus, so right now do represent a good deal. I just wish it was easier to work out exactly what was included.
