Improbability Drive, what else?  "Side effects of using the Infinite Improbability Drive include temporary (and sometimes permanent,) changes to environment and morphological structure, hallucinations, and the calling into being of large marine mammals. An incredible range of highly improbable things can happen. Known effects have included the creation, and spontaneous upending, of a million-gallon vat of custard"

    mmm - custard!

Hacsart described it accurately except he left out the potted plant that was also spontaneously called into existense and thought 'On no, not again.' The drive is available both with or without pumpkin spice.

All kidding aside, have you considered adding to your fleet? I'd love some more small ships like these, they're among my favourites.

Thanks! I plan to make more ships but these are very time-consuming so it's hard to work them in among other projects. But I'll get to it at some point.

In the meantime, hang on to your towel and don't panic. And pass the pumpkin spice.

Great news, thanks. I'm not sure what fuel they're made to use, but the ships themselves are made for adventure! In case any science fiction fans haven't picked it up yet, it's still on Fastgrab and work many times what they're asking for it. A while back I trimmed the inside and added some of Davo's pieces, everything worked perfectly and only took a couple of hours to build a four-crewmember ship (more if some are robots). I can't recommend Nightshift3D's ships highly enough!

Thanks very much, Walt! Great kitbashing job with Davo's stuff. I figured that sort of thing would be possible back when I built it but hadn't seen any examples before.

So, what's the difference between the different ships?  I have the Dropship and I've looked at the Gunship and the Transport ship.  With the exception of the tail ends they look similar so I assume they were meant to be complementary ships of the same force.  However, it would be nice to know what the differences in sizes are when compared to each other.  The cockpits look similar, too.  So, what are the differences between the three ships and maybe a hint of why I would need to add one more to my collection other than it looks cool and is in fast grab?

  • Nightshift3DNightshift3D Posts: 273

They're all roughly the same size. The dropship was meant for heavy cargo with a bay platform that lowers for easy loading. The gunship is for defense with much heavier weapons and bigger engines. The interior cabin space is smaller since the inside would be mostly engine, fuel, power supplies and ammo. The transport ship is for passengers and/or small cargo. There are bench and cargo rack props in the interior, it loads with two of each but can easily be switched to all benches or all racks. Or you can lose the benches and racks and kitbash an interior like Walt Sterdan did. The transport ship is the most versatile of the three.

Thanks, Nightshift3D.  I'm trying to get it in the cart, but it looks like the store is having issues.  I'll try again here in a bit and hope that fast grab doesn't update again.

Edit:  Well, it was touch and go, but I finally managed to get it in the cart and through check out, eventually.  Although I still haven't gotten an email confirmation of the transaction, yet, it is showing in my Product List as purchased.  Now, we just have to see if I can get it downloaded.  The site is really crazy slow today and doing strange things again.

what's the warp factor max on pumpkin fuel?

    (in case of emergencies)

  • Nightshift3DNightshift3D Posts: 273

It depends. Fuel from an uncarved pumpkin is only capable of achieving warp 2. But fuel from a really scary Halloween carved pumpkin can go as high as warp 7. It's mostly a matter of getting the eyes right.
