Taisho: Oh, do you only need a blank UV template? When I said I only make guides for the primary figures, I meant ones with the colored guides (because I do them by hand, trial and error).
sandman: There shouldn't be any problem posting a simple UV template, just don't include any geometries. :)

You're welcome, I'm glad it can help! I am slowly working on a G3 Male set, but it won't be quite as detailed as the G3F one. Still should be useful (I hope!). :)
What is a seam guide actually? Some kind of special texture template?
Snow Sultans seam guides ,help you match up the seperate parts of the UV's so you can properly line up things like tattoos, or say dirt /blood spatter on your textures,without so much of the back and forth checking to see if it lines up right .Especially when they cross body sections like torso to arms or thighs .......

Don't forget the wraparound alignment on the same UV layout, that's IMHO just as important as the "cross section" alignment. The seams going down the back and along the arms and legs are just as tricky to get right as any of the others; anything that helps with this is a major improvement.

Hi GoM, the main four guides are done and I'm pretty sure that all of the others are identical or nearly so to the G3F ones. It won't have the sole and palm maps and other little guides of the G3F one, but will be finished and available no later than the 29th (my birthday). :)

The G2F Drawing Doll is one of my absolute favourite textures. I use the material guides sometimes for the same sort of purpose but the doll is the best; shame there doesn't seem to be one for other figures but you're making free things so make whatever you enjoy making!
lx: Oh wow, didn't think anyone else found that useful because I made it for the purpose of tracing 3D figures to make 2D art. The only reason why I haven't made it for G3F is because I'm waiting (and hoping) for a Callie 7 so I can duplicate the toony look. I'll have to revisit that texture once I finish a few things here and see how I could improve it.
Yeah, the whole reason I discovered Poser style figures was because I wanted a drawing doll for 2D art. I get wanting to wait for Callie - usually I use Haiku (who is based on Keiko but I like her head better) for the drawing doll, but there aren't really any anime shapes that work as well for G3 yet :(

That's the same reason why I bought Poser 1...and 2 and 3, haha. When we got 4, we finally got figures that looked good enough to render.
You're welcome, I hope it can be useful! I'm sorry, but don't have any plans to make one for a male unless we get a very nice Disney-esque toon or anime male morph. We can make realistic renders for drawing reference very easily, but this guide was designed to help draw cartoons or stylized figures from a morphed 3D figure. I don't think they would be of much benefit on a truly realistic figure.
We have nice things like Genesis figures and Iray now, and they're super useful, but honestly when it comes to anime art I still prefer 2D. Also the figures look great now but the hair and clothing technology is still very much lacking, so it's easier for me to just draw. Plus it's faster than modelling a specific outfit I want (at least until I save up enough for Marvelous Designer, anyway... that still leaves the problem of hair though.) Obviously when it comes to art everyone has different opinions, but drawing works best for me so it's great having these sorts of resources available.
OK, these should be finished but I still want to call them "beta" in case there are any errors. If you notice anything wrong, please let me know and I will fix them immediately. If no one notices anything wrong in the next 3 or 4 days, I will post them on my website and make a new thread.

The only thing you should be aware of is that the mouth guide is for the Genesis 3 Female. The male one is *extremely* similar to this one, but not absolutely exact. I included it for two reasons: I didn't feel like making another one (and when you see it, you'll know why) if there were no noticable differences, and because I didn't want to give the impression that G3F mouth textures would not work on the G3 Male. Just be sure to check your work when working on the mouth, and if you really do notice something that is different enough, let me know and I will make the male version.

Hey SnowSultan, do you think you will ever make templates for the G8's and now G9. I find your templates extremely helpful.
DAZ used to compensate me somewhat for making seam guides, but they told me that new guides would not be necessary for G8 because of how similar the guides were to G3. G9 could probably use some, but so many artists create their textures using programs like Substance Painter nowadays that guides aren't as useful (or as accurate compared to real-time 3D texture painting) as they were back in the V4-G3 days.
I haven't used G9 all that much (and own almost nothing specifically for it aside from the UV map geoshells and the morphs), but I will think about it though (and add it to my list of a thousand things I should do one day). I'm glad the old guides can still be helpful. :)
