HDR ProSets Yosemite Pack One with Iray?

I'm not sure if this set is designed for Iray or not.  I just loaded up one of the presets, added a character and hit render (Iray) and got a black box.  Is it the set or am I doing something wrong?

There is a Skydome which blocks the light. It has to be made 'see through' for the light to penetrate. Either that or delete it and plug the dome image into the environment map of the Iray dome. There are various threads on here giving solutions to the problem.

No, it predates Iray so you'll need to tweak it a little :)

Thanks, I was trying the exact same product last night and got the same result  and couldn't remember what the solution was so thanks for posting it here :)

Is there a way to see what the environment map is going to look like before rendering?

...the downside of plugging it into the environment channel is you will only get the ambient lighting and no shadows from any sun that was included.  You would have to "fake" the sun somehow if you want shadows.

If you would like to plug the HDRIs into Iray yourself either the Poser or Carrara files would be better to use since they come with the full resolution HDRIs, the way 3DL in Daz Studio worked meant there wasn't much way for me to make use of them until I started providing a reflection dome in the scenes.  They should give you better lighting than the textures included with the DS download alone.

Turn on the AUX Viewport and set it to Iray.

Just wondering, would you consider updating? :) :) :) Still a newbie to DS so any extra steps makes things more confusing than they already are!
