I got this error message on a render last night and it closed Studio. Got up this morning and got it again when I loaded my browser. Any idea what's happening? I seem to recall something about nvidea updates being bad but I have no idea what to do about it. I am going to reboot and see if that fixes it (It did the last time) but I get very nervous when something happens that may interfere with my main hobby.

What version of the drivers? I hate updating drivers and particularly video drivers, but have up- and down- and up-graded mine in attempting to get the Octane plug-in working (they specified you had to use a particular version and I managed to upgrade beyond that, so had to install a lower level version which was know to be 'issue free') but have now gone back up to what was the latest: 368.22. I say was as it looks like 368.39 is out ... ;)
368.22 has not caused be any problems and I'm staying with that until either I really, truly, no-other-way-but-to-upgrade-to-get-it-to-work (hopefully way in the future!) or the heat death of the universe happens ;)
No idea what version but I will have a look after dinner thank you!
355.82 is the version I have. I always turn off automatic updates the second I get a new machine. So no new updates since I got it last year...
The driver version that the (current) developer of the Octane plugin recommends is 358.50, and that is the version I down-graded to after my initial upgrade. I had to go spelunking on the nVidia site to find it, but it's there, hidden away. The 368.22 version I currently have should be more obviously available and it has been stable for me, thus far *looks round for wood to touch ...* ;)
A driver update might be an idea, it's not as bad or scary as you may think! You can always do a System Restore Point beforehand to be extra sure. I might not go for the latest and greatest as some have, so I have read, had issues.
Ya I have had some issues with upgrades for other products so I am a bit leary to say the least lol. I have rebooted and will be working on something in just a bit to see if it happens again. Thanks for the help!
Good luck!
