How do you do a floor shot without the floor being in the way?

In Poser, not sure if it's the same for Daz

but I want to do a pictue of a woman standing there with a sword, and the angle is from the floor up. In the foreground you see a presumably dead guy arm. But if I do it from this angle the floor will be in the way and it will only render the floor. I want some of the floor to be visible but I don't want it to obscure the camera...

How do I fix this?

Option 1, make sure the camera is positive on the Y axis, and work it hard.

Option 2, have a "fake floor" whose edge is not in the camera's field of vision.

The sketch below explains Option 2. The bottom line is the actual 'floor', then there's the box pretending to be the floor on that, etc etc.

I'm not certain that I understand exactly what you are attempting to achieve. If you want a shot taken from the floor, as you might in the real world, the camera would need to be positioned on or above the floor and angled upwards. The shot would not show the floor since it would be outside the field of vision and it would not be "in the way". If you want to take a shot that shows the character's lower extremities as well as the rest of the body (that in the real world would not be practically possible), there are a couple of simple ways to do that: 1. make the floor invisible or transparent or 2. raise the figure off the floor so there is room to position the camera beneath. If you wish to show the character in its entirety from below and also show them standing on a floor, that, of course, would be physically impossible in the real world unless the floor were made of glass or some other transparent material, and you would not be able to see it anyway unless there were some glare or reflection. So, what exactly are you trying to achieve? Have I missed something?

Cool trick Valandar! Thanks for that one!

Use a wide angled lens, = short focal lenght

    Cull backfaces?

I am pretty sure Poser can, just not sure where it is, know for certain Carrara and iClone I can hide backfaces and DAZ studio I cannot.

I recently figured out how to do this and what it did on my current render and it works like a dream!  I can't believe I hadn't ever used those settings before, but I was shooting an image inside a cage from outside the bars and desparate to get the bars out of the edge of the camera view.  This really worked out well to get a great shot without the bars getting in the way.  Play with those settings on your camera and I'll bet you'll be surprised at how much better of a shot you can get.  Just get the camera in a good position with the floor not showing even if it your figure isn't quite all the way in the shot like you want and then adjust the lens settings.  See if you get something close to what you want.
