i tried installing it manually and with dim

no options for gen2fem/male

the program says it cannot find the geometry

is it possible the update is installing to the wrong location ?

dim tries for c/users....

manually tries c/program files

both do not work

Because it is a PlugIn I don´t trust DIM and prefer the manual installation with the .exe-file from the product library. And both the main GenX2 and the GenX2 AddOn for Genesis2 should point to the program files directory.

GenX2 needs to be activated inside DAZ Studio with the Serial Number. Take a look at: Help => About Installed Plugins

Please explain, no options for gen2fem/male? Is this an actual error message? A screenshot would be nice.

GenX2 needs to be installed in the same program files directory as your DAZ Studio Installation is. Because you have the option for Genesis as a source/target. The Genesis2 figures should be in the same MyLibrary/data directory as Genesis1 is located.

If this was not helpful you may post your issue in the GenX2 discussion: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/24079/genx2-and-genesis-2-addon-released-upgrade-ends-soon-commercial/p1

If the geometries are not found, GenX itself is installed correctly. The plug-in is active and finds the figure data. The problem may be due to DAZ Connect.

GenX version 2.1.0.0 should work with DAZ Connect. I have tested this on Win and Mac. However, because DAZ Connect is new in DS 4.9, but the plugin SDK is for DS 4.5, the plugin can't access the folder location directly. If you use the default location, GenX should find it. Otherwise, you need to click on the "Connect Path" button in the GenX options and select the path for DAZ Connect (without the /data/cloud part, this is appended automatically).
