Growing up 3 and Hair Issues

Anyone know how to deal with hair going crazy when applying the "Youth Morph" from Growing up 3? Here's what default "Apple hair" looks like when "Youth Morph" is set to 84%. The problem goes away if I remove the morph.

    try using the morphs on the hair; see if any expand or move parts up or out.

    No dice, the hair morphs are not able to fix it.
