Ancient Jewelry

I found lots of modern jewelry collections for G3F in the store.  Are there any commercial items that have a more tribal or rustic design (like jewelry that would be worn by ancient civilizations)?  If anyone could point me to anything like that here or anywhere, I woudl appreciate it.

Did you have any particular civilization in mind?

There is this for Mayans: http://www.sharecg.com/v/30546/gallery/5/3D-Model/Mayan-Necklace-For-Maya-Poser

Unfortunately, while such collections exist, they are nowhere near as common as the collections of contemoporary stuff.

That said, there are some fabulous examples out there, usually as parts of costume sets. Take a look through some of the "barbarian warrior" or 'tribal priestess' costumes in the store, or other stores. Most of them have jewelery included. Fantasy celtic is another popular item. And some of the more ornate Asian sets have some lovely accessories.

It does mean that you end up having to buy the whole set in order to get that fabulous necklace or set of earings. But the items do exist. And some of the fantasy sets have things that could pass for ethnic, so they are worth checking too.

And don't discount the stuff for gen4 and earlier. It can be used. You may not be able to use autofit with it, but if you can get it into position, scale it into an acceptable fit, and then parent it, it will work all right. It can be frustrating to work with, since changing the figures pose may mean needing to tweak the position of the jewelery, but it's usually no worse than the stuff that will authofit.

While RDNA is winding down and has a sale running, you might want to go over there and check out Esha, Arki, and Littlefox. Also RDNAPro, which are cooperative efforts from a collection of vendors. You might want to check out their items here as well. Also check the RDNA vendor section for the DeepFreeze stuff that's already migrated over here.
