did this for another thread but post here too, someone was asking about the detail in promo shots whether or not the skin detail veins muscles were the base form or whether the renderer had access and was using the hd morphs addon yet to be released which you gotta admit you have to wonder with some new release characters in their promos whether they do or not to make the new sets more appealing oh she's wearing makeup

Nice details in the body. There is a strange line and distinction between her face and her neck though. Did you do some face tweaking/adjustments or does it come out of the box that way? That's a very noticable color difference.

I think I like that woman! And now I cannot wait for Ivan... Is there any chance we see the male part of a couple first ;) in future?

But I think Rune's breasts are a little... overdone... they look not real somehow... celtic warrior with silicon?

Very quick Rune render with stuff from the Pro bundle (first Pro bundle I think I ever bought). Postwork in Photoshop.

I'm so astonished by this. The details are so painty and perfect.

    That is gorgeous!

3delinquent and angelreaper -- nice images, also. :-)

I'm enjoying everyone's different styles.  It's before coffee early, so hope I didn't miss anyone's image.

No HD used in the promos.

Nice image!  I knew I missed something. blush

The breasts are -- well, they're out there, that's for sure.  I dial them down, like you did in your render. :-)

it was the makeup I used didn't notice till was fully into the render by then decided to keep going I've noticed this happens with a lot of figs there's like 2 different sets of makeups for two slightly different skin tones like for example in iray skin tone for Rune here there's the iray legacy maps and the other one, I think they design about half the makeups for the legacy skins and the other half for the non legacy skins appears to be that way for a lot of base characters don't know about the 3delight versions

oh I don't about the breasts I mean natural ones come in many different shapes and sizes and some pretty unique unusal ones too so much varity out there which is on a side note I'm glad recently we've had a few different breast morphs offered by pas with different shapes and styles and sizes finally, for awhile only different breast morph packs offered mostly on another site only really enlarged them didn't interest me I'm interested in different shapes and smaller natural large options not the fake extreme looking ones

Thanks for the render! You might actually push me towards a purchase with it since I like the skin tone and the details. I wasn't to impressed with the promo images, one of the promo images makes it look like she actually has cellulite on the upper thigh, LOL.

See, that would actually make me want to buy it MORE! lol Most women have celulite and it's just another level of realism that would be nice to have in realism renders - one step closer to total photo-realism. 'Cellulite is extraordinarily common. Most women, if not all, have it to some degree,' says Dr. Vince Bertucci, president of the Canadian Society for Dermatologic Surgery. It is believed that approximately 90 percent of women have cellulite.

Another Rune test, this one mainly to see if I could work some kind of background object into this "kinda Boris style". Lots of color correction but no actual "painted" postwork except the fog/bg. Same method as the previous one; rendered with default HDRI, then dump a truckload of Curves, NIK tools, and paper textures on it.

Thank you for the kind words so far, I appreciate them all!

    Definitely another winner. :-)

Any renders of her without makeup; warrior stuff; and definitely not wearing anything provided in the packs?

Here you go, finally.  My render settings had gotten all fouled up because I change the contrast all the time.  All afternoon, my renders have been being too dark and DS has been slow.  When I had the sense to reset the defaults and go from there, all was well.  This is w/normal maps on (w/o normal maps, you don't see the lip detail as much or the neck muscles) and medium translucency.  It rendered to 70%, @ high quality settings, and I thought it was ok.

The lights are from the Painter's Lights pack.  Those work very well w/Rune's skin, for some reason.

Thank you; if I'd seen that in the promos, I'd have considered buying.

Wow, she looks so normal (that's a compliment) like.. a person. Nice work.

    Indeed.

Absolutely love these renders, that's an incredibly beautiful style. Feel free to post many more. wink

Poses will always need adjustment unless you keep your figures close to default shape and style. With male poses I often adjust hands and feet, and arms. I don't really see a way around that since most people's taste in figures varies considerably and a lot of people customize the figures away from default.

I personally miss some of the more neuter like pose sets from genesis which could be used for both sexes.

I use G3M poses for G3F half the time anyway - she has a lot less backstrain and dislocated hips that way...

    +1 :)

SnowSultan, art like that was some of what inspired me to get into 3D. Beautiful!

I've tried to download it several times but it's a HUGE download (my connection says it will take 2+ hours) and my internet keeps crashing and dropping the download. I've tried many times over the past few months to download it but my unstable slow internet won't let me. It sucks because I'd love to be able to use it! I've seen some great effects that people have shown that it can do. If you can download it, definitely do it - It looks awesome! :)

I downloaded it and consider my duty towards art complete - may or may not install it sometime in the next decade if I remember.

Curves (the image level types) are one of those things that I absolutely do not understand no matter how I fiddle with them in Photoshop.

I didn't think much of NIK tools when I downloaded the demo a few years ago, but after seeing what Laticis has done with it, I decided to give it a serious try once it became free. You're right, it's great.  :)   Viveza is like an improved Photoshop Camera Raw, and there's a good number of the main filters that are useful (like Glamour Glow, and the retro camera filters). I hope you can get it soon Divamakeup!

Thank you for the kind words on my last pic, I'm glad you like it!

You should try some download manager that pauses or resumes broken downloads, adjusts traffic usage (e.g. download slowly in the background while surfing) or splits files into sections and download simultaneously for max speed. These often help and are available free as browser add-ons, but there are stand-alone programs too I think (just make sure to find some from a source you trust).

The guy in chains in the light ray on the sale banner. Is that what Ivan might look like?

  • ANGELREAPER1972ANGELREAPER1972 Posts: 4,555

kinda doubt it as it is one of the promo shots for the epic props: Godrays & Volumetric Light for Iray product  also btw in the promo video that's the scene he's demonstrating

Well, its not tawny colored hair.... This is the elven outfit, not in the bundle, but it fit the hair. which is fantasy warrior hair, also not in the bundle lol.  But it fit her I thought. Love the texture of her skin and she looks very much like a real person.  Great imperfections.

This turned out beautiful! Nicely done!

    Thank you!

With a name like Ivan,  I'm really hoping the character gives off a strong Russian/Slovic vibe.

I've been hoping for the same. Rune looks incredible, but had to go to my wishlist. I expect she'll be my first G3F character though. I always tend to purchase more male products than female, so I'm very much anxious to see Ivan.
