Quick question about Rune 7 before purchase.

Are the promo pics 100% accurate, or do you need to purchase a seperate HD version when it is released? As the promo looks like it has HD morphs applied.

Thanks in advance for any info!

The default Rune has a veined normal map if that is what you are noticing.

Most HD versions are sold separately from the base character.

Yes, which is why I'm wondering if the fine details (Wrinkles/skin creases) are normal maps or a HD morphs I ask as I don't know when the HD morphs are made, before or after the release?

It's mostly the fine details such as wrinkles and creases rather than veins.

From the Rune 7 store page:

    Increased detail (Read More)

Rune 7 has increased detail in her fingers, toes, neck, mouth and chest, giving her more realistic human characteristics than previous generations.

Given the history of releases so far, we should be seeing the HD Morphs within the month.

Yes, but that's usually with every generation 7 characters, but that does answer my question, thanks!

I did this pic for the Rune & Ivan 7 thread was asked for a comparrison render of all the g3f females Rune is the 10th one in the row tanned in this shot click the magnifyer to enlarge and you'll see the details in her there's a bit there yes but will be more enhanced with the hd addon when it's released but as is again yes there is a bit, also gotta take into account the ones that do the promo shots usually have access to best lighting and rendering tools as well as high end computers and graphic cards and skills that really bring out the details more too https://www.daz3d.com/gallery/#images/154926

    From the http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/dazstudio/4/userguide/creating_content/packaging/tutorials/product_artwork_standards/start

"Main promo illustrations ... can also be altered in Photoshop (or another image editing package) to add special effects, fix issues with rendered items not directly included with the product being illustrated, such as render artifacts, and other scene elements shown that are not part of the product being advertised, and so forth."

"Pop-up illustrations should not include any post-production touch up beyond simple color correction, sharpening, and/or combining of multiple render passes."

I assume they are not violating their own standards by incorporating HD version images in their pop-up illustrations.

You are assuming that they are using the HD morphs and not the included Normal maps.

Getting those level of details using normal maps is beyond my current skill level :)

I'm thinking the hd morphs will be released soon, there must of been a store glitch earlier because it let me add the addons to my cart but it was full price, so it went in my wishlist and the product page gave an error message

These are great, and yes, I can get some nice detail as well if I pump up the rez via the character's own render settings, but it usually devours my RAM if I go beyond 2!

Cool, THANKS! This is precisely the info that I needed!

Cool, thanks for the official word, although it's a bit late as I just snagged her! ;^)
