Huh... Interesting... I thought Gia was our resident warrior princess... o.o

    I'm confused by the several guesses of african girl that I've seen on the forums ... did no one look at the image?

    Rune probably suggests Nordic, warrior is stated... so what will make her different from Gia and Olympia (who already seem like they fill the same role as each other) ?

    LOL - Rune is a scandinavian male name. It means (alphabetic) letter or secret wisdom, and it was alluding to the magic powers of the letters and the written word. Bearer of that name are considered magicians, alchemists, librarians or bookeepers.

    So when I hear that name I see someone like Gandalf or Dumbledore in front of me.

    (On the other hand there is a female form of that name too - Runa, but it is more uncommon and also connected to letter magic and witchcraft)

    I went to high school with a girl whose real name was Stormy Weathers.

    Doesn't matter what the definitions say... this is Daz 3D. Most of the clothes aren't very practical... why should the names be?

    I would be really unwilling to bet that there is no female Rune in some fantasy story somewhere. Rune is a very common word in fantasy settings (as in runes... not sure how obvious this is) and in common western terms pretty much never has a set gender. Since it's a letter (or more accurately a glyph.) In terms of cultural accuracy ... uh... please see all of the other official characters v.v

    Her nose looks kinda big and wide to me (if that's even her) so I feel that pushes out slender elfy warrior with pointy ears.

    Looking at the advert and the fact that the "supposedly related " items are are staffs (fantasy ) and a "samurai" outfit that's pretty non-traditional, I am guessing this may be a catch-all release using a "warrior theme".  Prolly a little bit of  several genders.

    Those are her eyes in the top image... yes. But I don't recognize her in any of the other shots.

    Oh well, I've met women named Ali and Valter and men named Maria and Susan and there's a fantasy boy named Artemis and an alien matriarch named Noah so the gender indicator is often down the drain these days. Then again one would wish that someone did their home work once.

Inscriptions from Northern Germany and Denmark report quite trivial, everyday events. Even silly insults, written in 'magic' runes, like 'Haraldr is an idiot' and such, have been found…laugh Compared to other writing systems, runes are not very old; the oldest (the beautiful name 'Harja' written on a comb found in Vimose, Denmark) dates from 150–200 AD. But they look nice, don't they?

    Right but people are looking at that image and saying "Maybe she's African"

    The clothing items don't even have fits for her so I doubt any of this stuff today was actually built with her specifically in mind.

    soooo something/one may be of real interest use to me? along the lines of luis royo, boris vallejo, julie bell extra style of fantasy female character? yeah i know your not allowed to say but I'm also guessing if you've had a chance to play with her that means either you've created something for the bundles or at least something in the extras not included in the bundles but part of her sales extras which gives me a rough idea going by your other scifi and fantasy products which does make her seem interesting

    I don't really understand the term "profane use of runes," but apparently this is why they're considered mysterious: It's just what the word means. Although these days it basically just means letter.

    Old English run, rune "secret, mystery, dark mysterious statement, (secret) council," also "a runic letter" (runstæf), from Proto-Germanic *runo (cf. Old Norse run "a secret, magic sign, runic character," Old High German runa "a secret conversation, whisper," Gothic runa), from PIE *ru-no-, source of technical terms of magic in Germanic and Celtic (cf. Gaelic run "a secret, mystery, craft, deceit, purpose, intention, desire," Welsh rhin "a secret, charm, virtue."

    If that one image posted of her eyes is Rune 7, then she looks like a white girl to me. With the face paint, my guess is some sort of ancient Germanic/Celtic warrior, possibly inspired by Queen Bodica.

    well some characters and or bundles and or add ons do appear to be inspired by at time of releases current movie/tv, games or something else popular at the time so maybe she's something warcraft inspired? of course just because she's a warrior queen doesn't mean she's a fantasy character she could be scifi action type as in mad max post apocalypse style too though that's sort of been covered in a previous bundle so more likely more fantasy possibly elvenish aztechian maybe feather head dress, loin cloth red sonja/conan stuff like in the olympia 6 pro - jungle girl, tooth and claw

    this would if going by the releases of late of having pairings a possible barbarian type male bundle maybe a new version of the freak

    Ohhhh, right. I thought it meant like "all runes are supposed to be sacred and about some religion or something and not to be used for common human purposes." I thought runes just being ancient letters normally referring to nordic types was general knowledge, so the "no matter what today's fantasy fans think" thing threw me.

    Anyway, I think the early teaser etc. is a cool new move (maybe Daz Steve is sick of me complaining~) Not sure how I feel about her from what we know so far but that wouldn't change knowing she was coming or not, and I think I have the new pattern down enough to be fairly sure when the new characters are arriving now, unless they change it again.

    I'm kinda passing on new females. I still haven't used all the others I own. But I'm sure if she's a warrior queen with fantasy content people will like her. Fantasy seems a big hit here at DAZ. I'm waiting for Ivan whomever he is. =-)

    For some reason when I saw the poster for Rune 7, I thought of Arki's http://www.daz3d.com/lady-rune-for-genesis-3-female-s, but I guess this is a different Rune.
