"An error occured while reading the file" SOLVED

I just finally updated from DS 4.9 to the newest 4.9 (forgot the number) and every time I try to load something I get the message "An error occurred while reading the file." I tried with connect on and off. I was able to load a character morph but can't load any materials for any character (G3). This is from the smart pane. I couldn't even find where all the G3 characters are in the content pane... It says to check the log file. Where is the log file??? Please help! Thanks.

    From the menu, select Help > Troubleshooting > "view log file".

    Just realized I didn't have the surface selected.... Going back and forth from Poser to Daz is giving me brain fog!
