Dilemma - help me buy at Daz store

Why you do that to me Daz?! crying I want to buy everything, but I can't! Hehe...

I have two options:

1) $27 http://www.daz3d.com/9-to-5-outfit-for-genesis-3-female-s
+ http://www.daz3d.com/juliette-hair
(+ Victoria 4, 5, and 6)

and

2) $19 http://www.daz3d.com/cailin-bundle

I also wanted http://www.daz3d.com/xiao-mei-bundle but will have no $ this time for all that...

Guys, what to you think I should get and why? 1 or 2? 1 I love for all the free victorias and those 2 g3f items, but two has that amazing hair and outfit... hm....

How much time do I have to choose before those sales disappear? frown

    frownClearly im not going to be any help in this matter. However, if it were me, although Cailin is an excellent character, the 9-5 outfit and juliette hair looks like a really sharp combination. I vote for your first option. But everything goes on sale all the time. So if you cant get something now just wait and itll be back on sale before you know it. laugh

    Assuming you are new to all this (August 2015), I would stick with one figure and the addons for it till you come to terms with it all. When I first started I bought so many things I "thought" I wanted and in retrospect, should have been a bit more informed and cautious, LOL.

    get what you can afford and keep track of what you can't because it will eventually go on sale again.

    Even all the Victorias go on sale often? They were on my wishlist, but the bundles... I feel like getting the bundles I get more of it... But I just want everything *cries*

    Cailin is excellent indeed, and it's the whole bundle for almost the same price of the hair that comes in the bundle! i feel I would make great renders with cailin and her bundle as well... :( so difficult! A friend told me to buy neither and instead spend it on the PC+ 3 months... but first of all I didn't even want to buy anything, I wanted to save for 1 year PC+, but daz wants me to buy! lol

    So, I was sticking with G2, but recently a friend made a G3F character and sent me to test it before he put it on store at Renderosity, and I made a promo render with her and I loved it so much how G3 moves her face/expressions and so many more movements the body has! (it is however a bit more difficult to pose due to that).

    So I was thinking about upgrading to G3, but my computer is not so good, so it takes at least 2h to render anything in a reasonable quality... and I believe upgrading to G3 would take more time but I'm starting to miss the point now haha... G3 feels more realistic to me, I still wanted V4,5,6 because I feel I would maximize my daz experience with them (not to say there are amazing items for them that I have on my wishlist. It's a very tough decision...

    One small caveat with option 1 that you should be aware of: You are purchasing 2 items that get you Victorias 4, 5, & 6; BUT the dress fits Genesis 3 (including Victoria 7)  and not the Victorias you are getting.In order to get Victoria 7 maybe consider buying a 3rd item from the group that gets Victorias free. And be sure to put all the free Vicorias in your cart with the purchase. They aren't automatically added.

    And I agree with FSMC. Think carefully about what you actually want to do and only buy what you can afford and need.

    both good but I'll pick option 2 don't have the xiao bundle myself but I really like the look of it but I do have the cailin bundle love her was in my wishlist for awhile then got her + the hair colour expansion pack and some other stuff in another deal I do like out of touch's stuff have a few character bundles

    I made the mistake of buying Cailin alone, then later bought the dress, then later the hair. My false economy was in thinking thinking I only needed the character but was tempted by the rest of the bundle eventually. Calin is by far my most used character for G3F so I recommend her.

    I think I'd go for the Cailin bundle, mostly because the Out Of Touch products I've bought always turn out to be ones I've used a lot.

    We should have more threads like this - doing other people's shopping is so much cheaper :)

    The problem is I have only $33! :( I wanted to get one more item to get V7 but it will be way above the amount I have left... And I can only work more after I graduate in 1 month (I am an artist freelancer).

    A friend suggested I'd use $24 for 3 months PC+ instead, what do you think? it will be 1 freebie per month + 1 freebie per week.

    Yeah I have the feeling I would use her a lot too, more than the Victorias 4,5,6... But those 2 items I'd purchase to get the Victorias I also have the feeling I'd use a lot... The OOT hair is amazing, seen it in many renders before and was in my watchlist...     Yeah I'm slightly inclined to get her... I think I'm gonna get Cailin bundle now, or you think 3 months of PC+ would be a better idea? (1 freebie per month + 1 freebie per week) total around 15 freebies at the end of subscription...

    Cailin And Saphirewell that's one of the reasons some of us are here to help each other out, well being a member is great well I love being a member yes there are the regular freebies but there's also the bonus freebies every now and again when you look in store select the price low to high option to see these and every now and again there's like a huge freebie sometimes one of the bundles. Then there's all the discounts us pc members often get an extra discount off of new releases and others I've come on when I've logged out seen the price normals pay then logged in and noticed sometimes quite a big difference in price. Oh every week there's new pc items released right well we get a newsletter too and it lists those new items and if we buy at least one of those items there's also another item offered via the news letter for 99c. And then there's the two monthly $6 coupons, $6 off Daz Originals. Excludes Platinum Club items, gift cards, and memberships coupon and the $6 off $18 on Daz, PC, and PA items. Excludes new releases, gift cards, and memberships coupon. When you can I'd go for the full year membership they often have deals where you can get it cheaper one time is around end November, one thing don't know if this applies to the short term memberships too but the yearly one is set to auto renew does it itself so no need to rebuy if you get it cause if you do you pay twice happened to me thought I had to select it again when it was close and got it on special then came to the date when I first bought a year before and was charged again.     Dream Cutter may have been slightly joking but you can and is done by many including daz artists, crowd funding and is known by a few other terms too is basicly where you ask people to donate money to you to be able to invest continue your art, few on deviant art do this also game designers, comic book artists/writers, other types of artists, musicians even movie makers and others it's pretty common nowdays

    I think the PC club is well worth the investment and you more than get your money back.  With the DO coupon, it's also like getting a free item if you shop in the older content.  Plus, you get a deep discount on great items each week on some great new items made for the club.  If you do get it and don't want it auto renewing, REMEMBER to always undo permissions with Paypal if you used that.  Most people say that using a gift card to buy the membership is better.  I'm also another that didn't realize that you had to fix permissions at Paypal so that they didn't auto renew when I first started out and got double billed one month.  When it's time for me to renew, I'm definitely going the GC route.  Although, I got a good deal when I first started and ended up with several years of membership during the PA sale that year so I don't have to worry about renews for another year.

    I have definitely gotten my money back for what I've paid for membership.  I did, also, buy the Cailin bundle and that was good decision as I would have so gone back and gotten the other items in the bundle later.

    One thing to definitely check out, if you haven't found it, is the freebies forum.  You might be surprised at the amount of high quality props, figures, clothes, hair, etc. you can get for free to use inside DS as you build your library of needed items from the DAZ shop.

    That sounds like an amazing plan, PC+... In the end I missed the chance to buy and the bundles got to the original price... I guess I get to save the money then hehe... Perhaps for PC+?! The ladies are so pretty! Great render!! Sadly I missed Cailin, but her bundle is definitely on my wishlist... I couldn't make my mind in time :(

    Oh really?? That sounds like a good idea haha... But where can I ask for funding though? :( I have no idea where to start from... *sigh*

    Oh I often want to shop in the older content, I guess this will be good for me! Sadly I missed the sales and the prices got back to their normal range, but I will save now for PC+, hopefully will get a discount on it? Someone from FB said they got 1 year for $45 in a sale in April... But I don't want to have to wait until april :( in the other hand I still don't have all the money now haha, so waiting is the best idea... PC+ definitely seems to be a great way to save... Cailin bundle is in my wishlist so I do not forget to buy it... I really want it... Oh I know the freebies forum, it's great :D I participate in the Freebie Challenges sometimes (I did this month haha).     Go for the pc+ discount.  then go check out the freebie section.  It will get you going until you buy more stuff. I promise.

    I'm not sure how the crowd funding thing is actually started/set up just seen many have it on the deviant art pages and think some have links on their facebook pages too. Thanks for the like and don't worry about Cailin she'll come back on sale in fact if when you do become a pc+ member you'll get extra discounts on her sometimes even during sales reckon you'll really enjoy being a member and you'd be one of the ones that get a lot out of it. Keep an eye out for pc+ member joining discounts they have membership discounted throughout  the year I know there's one around end November early December but more than likely another one before then maybe soon. Oh and also I too do that a lot too debate with myself buy or not to buy or what to buy during various sales often miss out cause can't decide reckon many of us are guilty of that oh if only I could buy everything and have a computer with enough room on it too of course
