Help finding G3F armor that looks like "armor"

tring01tring01 Posts: 305

Been working on a series of fantasy warrior renders for G3F lately.  Really having problems finding armor sets that actually look like real armor (no more "armored" bikini's please).  I'm also fond of asymetrical armors, so being able to apply the leg and arm pieces to one limb at a time instead of both would be a huge help.  Can anyone point me to something usable?

Fabulous!  Perfect!  Thanks so much.  All favorited for the next time they go on sale.

If you're looking for leather armor, Shameless Rogue works quite well too. I'm partial to the Champion outfit, but you may have to give her a pair of pants if you're looking for full body coverage.

There's quite a few G2F armors that can be fitted to G3F quite easily. Lady of War, Mercenary Maid, Elven Armor, Shieldmaiden, Ranger Outfit, etc all come into mind.

Thanks.  I really like the Elven Armor best of all.  Love that look.  It's on sale along with the Mercenary Maid set.  Hmmm.....  By the by, I bought an IRay cloth shader pack that came with an excellent chain mail shader.  I could apply that shader to the leather cat suit in either of the above sets for a really badass 14th to 15th century look.  Hmmmm....

That's what I typically do too: kit-bash pieces together and retexturize. Underarmor is particularly useful because it can be altered to leather, chainmail, all sorts of things.

Here's an outstanding, feasible, leather set that looks great with any of the Iray material shaders. Kitbashable.

I should note the underarmor for the Elven suit is a second skin, not a bodysuit...
