Optitex Fabric Presets for DCC - can one get more fabrics?
One question about Optitex dynamic fabrics presets for DCC plugin - there is a buncn of 24 free fabrics from Martin's freebies, but it is a very short list for such a large professional software like Optitex itself. It misses many common-used fabrics like velvets, silks, linen, leather and furs... When professionals sew the clothing models within Optitex, they must need these fabric presets! I guess there must be other fabric lists, free or commercial, usable for their fabric editor and for DCC too - where to look for them? The Opti site has a bad support, I could not connect to the developers' team to ask this question and the DCC forum is closed for new users now. Doesn't anyone here know where can I find more fabric presets for Optitex dynamic clothing?

In a format that Studio understands...nope.
In the main Optitex program that can be translated into a format Studio understands...yes.
In academic papers, to be manually tanslated...yes.
There is a script available elsewhere, a popular alternative vender to here.
As far as I know, such translations are performed via their utility named Optitex Fabric Editor, downloadable for free in the web. I tried to test it, but cannot run it on my PC at all. Their Wiki says that the same freebie presets work within Optitex too, but I feel that professional users who can sew real clothing prototypes within that great software, use many other fabric presets like silk etc. Are there any communities or forums for Optitex users? Their site has a bad support, and the DCC forum is closed for registration. Or else - is there any collections of KES data for various fabrics, maybe comparison charts? Google is abound of academic papers, but lacks essential info.
If you mean DynCreator, I use it already, but I need a bit other thing - additional fabric presets like Denim or knits from Martin's freebie to apply on dynamic clothing.
Basically, that script does not work on modern Windows versions. The full software has an updated script, but it isn't available...
Lots of fabric and textile manufacturers provide KES data online. You just have to go looking for it.
The fabric presets are just text files (specifically, there are DS Script versions you can download from the optitex freebies list). You can edit them, and edit the parameters to your hearts content. Realize you may crash optitex inside DS if you use confusing values. Or your fabric simulation may get really wonky. But if you understand what the parameters mean, you can adjust some of them fairly simply. Optitex does have a wiki page on this, I think..... Yep, here: http://www.optitex.com/Help/en/index.php/3D:Properties#Cloth_Parameters
Just select your optitex dynamic cloth item, then run the script, and it will change the parameters of the fabric for that item.
I've been manually changing/rewriting the scripts, plugging in the data. I haven't been spending a lot of time on it, but have several more...I was planning on eventually offering them as freebies, but probably not until the autumn sometime (do a few a month and by then I should have another dozen or two done). The hard part is all the drapes/renders AFTER you have it done, to make sure it is behaving like you expect it to.
Couldn't you tell what manufacturers namely provide KES Data and how to find them? I googled for them but found nothing but a great heap of fabric shops online and fabric textures only. It's a surprise that such powerful software as Optitex has so few fabric settings for users.
