Problem using connect; anyone know what I'm doing wrong??

I've tried several times and can't seem to use Connect. I just wanted to play around and see if I could actually see the DAZ store contents and purchase something. i'd tried it a while back with no luck and gave up, since I'm using DIM anyway. However, trying it again today, it still doesn't work for me... I login to work online as Daz Studio fires up. Nothing in the store but the message "Unable to fetch resources." And the tab shows that I'm working offline, I guess? So, I click on that and login again. No luck, same message. I've even got Remember Me set and it shows my info, but the store never loads. If I use the Connect menu, the options just fire up my browser and take me to the actual Daz website.
Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Searching the forum isn't bringing up any answers for me.

Are you sure you are entering your email and password correctly? What security software are you using, and what OS?
Well, I had entered it multiple times just to make sure. And weirdly enough, after all these tries, it just started working when I checked it again a few minutes ago. Go figure.
Oh, and I'm using Windows 7. I was beginning to think it was a firewall setting. But it seems to be a moot point. Finally take the time to ask and Connect gets scared and starts working. Murphy...
Thanks, though! :)
Richard, I spoke too soon. It seems to be working, but won't let me purchase the item I'm trying to buy. It take me to checkout, I choose my card, enter the verification number, check Place Order and it does nothing. I'm probably doing something stupid, but I can't get it to work.
And the Connect total is kinda strange. Right total, wrong discount. I'm uploading pictures of the Connect checkout total and the same item in my shopping cart. (If the pictures will upload.)
Oh, well... gave up and just bought it from the store, as it's not worth fighting with just to purchase through Connect.
Please open a support ticket on the cart issue.
Will do. Thanks! :)
