Vue 2015 and Daz

So I've been looking at Vue as an additional tool, primarily for background scenery, etc.
However, the pricing (especially with the modules that I think I want) makes it a hefty investment without performing due diligence. Anyone out there who's using it, has experience (good or bad), want to share their opinions?
Thanks!

I only played around a little bit with their Plant Factory program so I can't comment on Vue itself, but they do offer a "Personal Learning Edition" for Vue which is like a non-expiring trial (non-commercial use) that you can use before making a purchase.
...the difficult part of using Vue and Daz together is you have to set up and prepose your characters before importing them into a Vue scene as .objs (as is also the case with Bryce). Vue has limited if any posing capability within the programme.
Since Vue also uses a ray trace render engine, I tend to lean more towards Carrara 8.5 Pro which has full morphing and posing capability (though not for G3 yet) as well as vertex modelling for those who love to kitbash. To get the most out of Vue you have to spend about 400$ on the core programme and individual modules (basically the "Studio Bundle") to get pretty much the same capability that Carrara 8.5 Pro has. True there is a much larger library of content availble for Vue than Carrara (a lot of it reasonable priced) but it cannot be used with any other programme. From reading the details, Vue seems more compatible with Poser than Daz (The Daz import is via Daz Collada).
I create backgrounds in VUE and then use that as the background for my Daz scenes. The modules are often placed on sale at 1/2 price or more. The moment I bought VUE a few months ago I started getting sale alerts for those modules.
@fictionalbookshelf - Do you export the models from Vue and render in Daz? Or render in Vue and use as either background or HDRI?
The higher end Vue versions have the ability to do "ecosystems" which can be then painted across a landscape with a mouse. It's pretty cool.
That's one of the reasons I'm looking at it.
...an expensive option. I use Bryce and Carrara for that.
