Is the MECH 2012 Enforcer fully rigged or not fully rigged?
in The Commons
Hi all im new to daz and have my eye on the MECH 2012 Enforcer asset with an eye to convert it into something i can use in iclone. Does anyone know if this model is fully rigged and exportatable. Twin shoulder cannons are highly desirable.
Thanks,
Dane.

That probably depends on what you mean by fully rigged - it says it is, and loks pretty posable.
It's rigged from the perspective that it has bones. Toes, feet, legs and torso are all poseable. The arm weapons will only traverse with the body but can elevate independantly. The shoulder weapons can elevate and traverse independantly of the body. The camera can move independantly. When open the missile launcher can be elevated. This thing is beautifully constructed and quite easy to work with, and how good does it look! As for exporting and using it in iclone, I'm afraid I can't help.
Thanks for helping me out with some of the details peep's half-way home.

Hi forsaken it looks like you rigged those mechs up to use standard motions is this the case?
yes I tposed and retargeted them to the non-standard character profile with extra bones using spring
Im a little late to the conversation, but there is a way to unlock Mech 2012's leg joints so that they have a more dynamic range of motion. Since it wasnt intended, you have to deal with issues like parts clipping through each other, but for static renders, it can be postworked pretty easily and results in some good looking poses. I cant remember how... Ive done it before. I tried it earlier. Unlocking and turning limits off didnt do it. Ill try to render something quick if I get it working.
Here they are. Just turn limits off, you may have to turn limits off for each joint you want to manipulate. In your perameters tab, select show hidden properties so that you can see all of your trans/rot dials. You can even explode the mech this way as shown in the second render.
