Thanks for all the Military Content today

Thanks to the PA's and DAZ for making all the awesome military garb, gear, poses and weapons. I bought it all, my cup runneth over. Sadly, I won't be able to play with it until tonight, but it all looks really great! =-)

    Did you get the DarkHawk? Im wondering if the miniguns have ammo belts and ammo canisters.

    Kinda sucks that there are no detailed promo renders of any of the props and poses included.

    Yah. Its a good looking helicopter, but if the miniguns do not have feed chutes, ammo belts or canisters, i wont be interested in buying.

    I thought of you, and many others, when I saw all those uniforms in the sale! I'm happy to see DAZ was paying attention. And they look realistic. I'm suitably impressed. And while I don't have a need for the uniforms, myself, I'm getting the Tactical Pants. I'm glad I didn't buy them last night, because the Tactical Boots showed up later. I'll be getting those as well... And I've wishlisted the uniform bundle and textures, as well as the helicopter. Who knows, I may find a need at some point.

    i am torn. On one hand I REALLY want some detailed military clothing/gear addons for DS and want to support vendors for doing military addons, on the other hand, I am picky about detail and factuality to a degree and the Army outfits are basic representations of the actual ACUs (or MCCUU for Marines).

    The male version should work fine for non combat scenes (hope it takes seamless textures well since I have merchant resources for the current ACUPAT camo and the upcoming Scorpion W2 digicam patterns), but that pack will not work, LOL. Don't get me started on the female version with the style and the high boots, LOL.

    The tactical pants and gear look great and I love the detail, so these will be useful indeed.

    I'll have to pass on the vehicle and heli as I have every type of military ride I would need thanks to the games I play

     

    i was really hoping for some authentic combat gear or Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment like this  I guess Yura's Soldier 2.0 is the closest i am going to get to combat gear for now.

    I havent tried those items with g2/3 yet but I imagine they would work with some degree of success. Im also pretty particular about my military items. The tactical items by smay look great and hope that g3f versions will follow shortly.

    I've used most of the military content in the store and there are things to like and dislike about most of it. Some of the newer sets have deformed a lot makng them pretty useless unless I hand fit each item. Textures are also a problem as things that shouldn't look like rubber, do.

    With these new sets, there are some great items, and so far I like what I see. The tactical handgun is very nice, and so are the poses. The seams on the jacket look good up close, although I could ask for a less form fitting fit to the jacket especially on the pecs. I like the goggles and the texture expansion are well done.

    The textures look pretty clean. They could use A Touch of Dirt for those in-the-field action shots.
