Has anyone bought Grass Collection - Vol1 PBR Textures yet?

Hello, I really like those textures. Before buying them I would like to see how they look like in a final render. Anyone around here that could post one? Thanks!

I'm with you; can buy and return, but would sooner not do that.
Yeap! I also don't like to buy and return. I'm with you.
I bought them and was planning to post a render for you, however DIM installed them under "General" and I'm in the process of figuring out how to access them since they aren't under Smart Content and I can't find them in Content Library...
Thank you so much for the information. I thought in fact they were shaders.
Oh well...
Did you just want shaders or would props be ok? There is this product. http://www.daz3d.com/g3d-da-grass-and-plant-pack
I own a grass shader pack which I really love, but sadly since iRay it's not working anymore. I was hoping this new pack could be similar. I already have tons of different grass props, but none of them is making me happy. When it comes up to cover big surfaces they are just to resurce consuming. Bummer!

I assumed it was a shader even though the product page refers to it as "Textures." Like the Horo HDRI product, the buyer should beware that the product isn't set up for us as the sort of "one-click" solution we're used to.
I totally agree with you.
I don't like one click solutions.
to practice with something like this product; apply the IRAY shader (or another) to a plane, and then add some textures, bump, normal
Add them one at a time so you see what each one does, and render before adding another. Helps if you have a decent gfx card for IRAY when trying such things though
I find for close ups, any grass texture looks very unrealistic, even with a displacement map to make the surface look uneven. Characters look like they are standing on a flat green carpet, not grass at all. As such grass textures are only really useful for covering grass in the background of the shot. For foreground grass, the product mentioned by AnotherUserName, ie http://www.daz3d.com/g3d-da-grass-and-plant-pack looks much better, although it is a lot more more work to set up than applying a grass texture, particular for uneven surfaces. There are other products out there that also do geometry grass, but for iRay that is the best I have found.
I have attached a render of a centaur walking through grass, the first uses texture grass, the second geometry grass using the g3d-da-grass-and-plant-pack. The texture used in the first render is from one of the nature shading packs from PC+, and looks good for grass in the distance.
Yes, I own that grass and plant pack. The only thing is, covering a very large surface is very time and resorce consuming. Pretty much I was looking for a one click solution. The grass and plant pack is gorgeous but the tiles are so small... 10x10 or 20x20. I was trying to cover an extremely large scene but it just doesn't work.
