Danie's Flash Sale No Error

A lot of Danie's wonderful creationss are only showing a 30% discount, even though the are not new.  :(

    Never mind, I just found the small print.

    * Excluding DAZ Originals.

    Too bad.

    You didn't miss it, it was just changed to exclude Daz Originals. Odd for a flash sale.

    No, I just read the banner.

    "Flash Sale:  60% off Danie's Catalog."

    It says nothing about featured items or clicking.

    Anyways, no complaints.  It is what it is ... just what a weird Flash Sale.

    They probably don't want the DO stacking with PC+ discount.  They've slowly been putting these little zingers in the sales like PC+ no longer applies to Fast Grab items.

    Makes it real easy for customers to pull a zinger, like not renewing their PC+.

    I'm sorry you feel zinged but the reality is that if the pc+ could be used with those prices then it is possible that the pa would make 0 on the sale of a product. The reason that the pc+ coupon is workable is that most of the time the discount is spread out among multiple PA's and products. With a flash sale the incentive is to buy from that single PA who is going to take the whole income hit.

    I thought so too.  At least that's what we were told in the Great DRM Experiment of '16 where DAZ Originals were trialed with the encryption.

    I was responding to where he says fast grab items Charlie. And since the DO's are excluded (which is nice since they go on sale all the time and it puts the focus on the PA owned products) then it would only come off a pa owned product that is already deeply discounted.

    For the most part, Daz Originals are owned by Daz. Flash sales are most of the time PA sales.

    I've only been shopping here as a PC+ member for less than a year but this is the first Flash Sale that I can recall that specifically excludes DAZ Originals besides the usual PC+ items.  Up until a few weeks ago, DAZ Originals in Fast Grab did get a stacking 30% bonus.  Clearly DAZ can change the way their promotions work but it's not unnoticed.

    It is also the first time that I can recall all Daz Originals being specifically excluded from a flash sale.

    If the DO's had been included as usual the effective discount would have been 72% (60% stacked with 30%); Not much more than the usual 70% of Fast Grab.

    But we are not currently talking about Daz originals. We are discussing a flash sale for Danie that excludes them. That is no indication about discounts or coupon use on Daz O's. Now if your vexation is that the didn't include Daz O's so that is a different issue. I will be honest and say that I appreciate that they are placing the focus on the actual PA's products rather than include their own as well. I think that the Daz O's ever being included in PA's flash sales should be seen as more of a glitch than something that should have been standard. Not being able to use the coupon on a PA's flash sales is no indication of a change in promotions involving Daz O products. Nor would her products have had the 30% discount added. The exclusion of Daz O's isn't much of an issue since they go on sale all the time. Far more regularly than the PA's.

    Well, the DOs have always been included in the flash sale before. And, NO, not a big issue just noting (from a buyers perspective) what seems to be a change in policy that makes the sale more limited.

    I don't think it's a general change in policy.  Danie only has a handful of brokered items, most of them are buyouts.  Since the purpose of the flash sale is to generate sales for the PA, having the PA's products swamped by hundreds of Daz Originals would have drastically cut into Danie's sales.  For most PA's this isn't an issue.

    Yes, as Mike says.  This is why ArtCollab sell under 2 different names.  ArtCollab is DOs  and ArtCollaborations is for PA items.
